Ruby-throated Hummingbird arrival at Northshore

First of season adult male Ruby-throated was just feeding at a nectar feeder in our side yard.
This is not a winter bird, but an incoming Ruby-throated for certain.
This is a few days earlier than usual. The Red Buckeye is not even in bloom yet.
Put your feeders out!

That's how I usually track the migration. I put my feeders out Saturday but have not seen anything as of yet. I am going to add a feeder to the bird snap this afternoon so it will be easier to catch one on video in case I miss it.

I have two. One points towards my front porch so it also acts as a security camera. The one in the back yard points towards my kayaks.
I also bought one for my mom and sister last year as gifts.

I was thinking about this as well. My mom is elderly and I think she would enjoy that (though she is not too good with computers)!

It’s an app. I installed it for my mom. She can watch on her phone or iPhone.

We got a Bird FY and I rigged a nectar feeder on it as well.
