So I got a quote from rainbow gutters and thought it was on the high side but wanting to know if I’m
Wrong. For 238 feet of 6 inch gutters with 6 downspouts, six corners and 1 valley shield... if I pay in cash they want $1850. Is this a good or bad price?

Point out to the installers or quoter ...you do not want any downspouts draining on sidewalks or the driveway.
A visit from me results in a strong letter from the Home Owner's Insurance Company and you get to reroute those downspout elbows.
Seems someone somewhere slipped and busted their butt on a slick sidewalk or driveway where downspouts were draining and the Insurance Companies declared never again.
There isn't a building code anywhere that dictates this to anyone.

That’s a pretty good price.

Your around $7 a foot. That’s pretty standard.

Good info to know. Does it matter if the downspot is routed to the driveway, but actually goes into a catch basin that is tied to the drain line?

Pretty good price. I had to have 50 feet replaced after some storm damage. Also had to have some soffits replaced. A pine branch fell and didn't land on the roof, but hit the gutters on the way down. I think the gutter portion of my bill was $1,000. That was for removal, repairing or replacing wood surfaces to mount it to, and new gutters. They are on the back of my house, which is 3 stories high, so two downspouts around 25 feet long each. So the 50 feet of gutters and about 70 feet of downspouts. I ended up getting the guy to do some other repair work that wasn't part of the insurance claim, and that was maybe another $1k.
Just looked up my quote, it was $412 for 50ft of 6-inch seamless Aluminum gutters, $375 for downspouts, $275 for gutter guards, $950 for the woodwork/painting I had him do while his crew were here.

Shop it but quality gutter installation is very Important make sure you have a solid facia boards be prepared to replace those plus they need to be painted some gutter hacks will attach gutters to rotten facia boards and you will never see the install again. I always remove mine myself Ck the facia bords personally unless it’s crazy high. Workmanship is very important on gutter work due to hidden damage that can go in noticed for years then you are looking at thousands and thousands of dollars of damage.

A lot of solid info in this thread
This is what makes this board so nice.
To the OP...that price you were quoted is good. If you go forward with it you weren't ripped off.

If the downspout is not draining across a walkway off the driveway, you are OK. A good inspector will see the catch basin and note it.
