Simpson is great. Everyone will tell you Honda engine or bust. I would just be concerned with the fact that Honda is not going to produce the small mower engines anymore.
What’s the price in checkout?
Also, what type of work are you using this for? You generally want something this strong for a two story home in order to get enough power to reach the whole house. If you have the money to spend, go for it.

$950. Need to clean the pool deck a couple times a year and clean a two story that has pretty high peaks. Also need to figure out what I can use to spray some house cleaner up that high. But I figured this would run a decent surface cleaner and have enough juice to get up in the eaves.
Is this overkill for what I need?

I have this exact one. Yes, likely overkill but I never have to worry about it not being powerful enough. You have to be careful cleaning something that can be damaged (wood, stucco ) because it will get away from you. Buy an oscillating tip for it.

Mines similar. 4.0 GPM. I prefer the cat pump.
It’s a beast. Yes, probably overkill for just home use. It cuts your time WAY down though. Tip use becomes important. Some will eat the paint off quick.
One of my best home related purchases lately. I think mine was 1300$ I got some extra hose with it . Aluminum frame.

I have the Dewalt with the same engine and pump. I think it must be made by Simpson for Dewalt. Mine is about 5 years old only used a few times but I have an issue with the pump leaking oil by the sight glass. Seems to be sa common problem per you tube. Need to order a new seal.

In the entire history of mankind, no one has ever uttered the words I wish this pressurewasher was less powerful.

Really appreciate all the responses guys. Unless someone thinks otherwise I’ll probably pick it up later today and grab a long range nozzle, chemical injector and a surface cleaner.

Honda stopped making push mowers not the engines. They still make the small engines for other applications like pressure washers, generators, water pumps…..

Decent pro-sumer pressure washer but these pumps leak oil. It's more of an annoyance but we have two of these exact model pressure washers, both with very low use and both leak oil at the sight window. I put new o-rings in them, slowed the leak to just a few drops a week but will still empty the pump if given enough time. I just drain the oil and put a big tag on them not to be used until filled with pump oil before use.

Pulled the trigger and got it. Now I’m on the hunt for ethanol free gas. If I can’t find any does anyone have a stabilizer they like? This is my only gas powered tool so it’s been years since I used anything and don’t want to frick it up right away.

Stabil 360 or Stabil 360 Marine. I stopped going out of my way for non-E gasoline years ago, with properly treated top tier mid-grade or higher gas I've never had issues with my equipment starting. I have fuel shutoff valves on all my equipment, run the carbs empty after every use. That alone solves most issues. If it's something like my chipper, yard vac, pressure washer, etc that won't see use for months at a time I'll drain the fuel tank and carb bowl, run a little MMO in them with canned 4-cycle True Fuel to flush them then put them away.

Agree about the gas tank. I've had to put two on my Simpson over the last 20 years. Now, I put just enough in there to do the job and let it run until it runs out when I'm done if it's going to sit a while.
Take care of that one and your kids will inherit it when you're gone. They're bullet proof.

either replace the tank with a plastic tank or run it out of gas every time you use it

I didn’t have time to wait. I’m having an Easter crawfish boil and my house has so much pollen on it I would be embarrassed for anyone to come over.
