So my mom’s sprinkler system needs some love.

2 to d the valves won’t come in from control box, have to open cover and turn manually.

One valve will never go off.

Can’t find anyone to come help.(other than the one guy who came, did a little discovery work, got paid a little bit, and then ghosted us.

Any suggestions on someone who will come do a small job like this?

I would rewire the valves. I've found that usually fixes things like that but not always.

If you do this, use the proper wire nuts with dielectric grease. You can find them in the plumbing area at lowes with the sprinkler system stuff.

I had a section of mine that wouldn't go off. As soon as you put water to the system they started spraying even if the control box was on off. I think they had something keeping the valve in an open position. I never did figure it out, it just went away on it's own.

The valve that won’t turn off has debris inside so it is stuck in the ON position mechanically no mater if you try to turn it on/off at the irrigation controller

I replace the whole top of the existing valve and don’t even bother to,clean the components. You have to figure out the brand and type of irrigation valve and replace the top of the valve without removing the plastic body that is glued to the molded plastic bottom

On the note of rewiring, I had a dead wire somewhere in my system. Once I figured out where it went to and from, I didn't want to dig up my grass, so I welded this line cutting tool and sliced the grass and spread it as I went along. Laid the wire in the ground and reclosed the line as best as I could. Could never really tell I did any work out there.

Call or stop by Ewing Irrigation or Keeling Company, describe the job, and ask for some recommendations for contractors.

I have a guy that I use when it's over my head, but I met his backup when I was at the Keeling counter buying parts and he offered some free advice.
