Steel or Aluminum Fence???

Looking to have fence & gates across the front of my property in Jefferson. Any advice on + and - of steel vs aluminum? TIA

Steel will eventually rust and need scraping, priming and painting. Aluminum may get to looking nasty, but it won't rust away-----and don't do like my neighbor----he got an aluminum fence that was painted and it is flaking like crazy.
If you want to get it in a color, I'd recommend powder coating if you can afford it. That stuff is tough.

Or look for anodized aluminun in a color you want. Either is a very good solution for aluminum.
