Yes, get it. It’s highly recommended in every generator thread since Ida, including the generator thread still on the first page.

Highly recommend, but watch the price. They frequently put them on sale. Have seen as low as $699, but $799 is more typical.

This I picked mine up for $799 last August after the texas freeze and a week later they had a return sitting on the aisle for $699.

I have one. The only drawback of this model is that it has a rather high THD, and isn’t as kind as the electricity generated by an inverter.

That’s the one I got. Only bad thing is that you have to get your own NG hose to connect it.

THD (Total Harmonic Distortion). It means if you are powering anything that has electronics involved you could have some issues with the “dirty power” you get out of that generator ( I haven’t reviewed the generator so I don’t know where it lands). So if you have a newer Samsung refrigerator ( for instance ) it relies heavily on electronics in its construction than an older Maytag. So you could have problems with it.

Discussion on THD

I have the dual fuel version, I start it up every month on gas, I ran it for WEEKS last year, it just works. The Champion they use to sell was "better" because it has cleaner power but I haven't had any issues. Most modern electronics have power supplies that can handle a little dirty power and deliver clean power to the device they are powering.

If you were buying one today would you buy the Firmin tri fuel or the Champion tri fuel?

Bought this one but the duel fuel for $599 from Costco last year. It's a great generator for the price.

That same model is $100 cheaper in the store, and goes on sale occasionally. I bout it last year for $699

I bought the Firman Tri-Fuel and set up a quick connection on a gas line outside. I’ve never put liquid fuel in it.
