Is Tuff Shed worth twice the cost? I'm looking for a 8x6 or 7x7 and the plastic sheds at Lowes/HD are ~$650 whereas Tuff Shed builds out to about $1500. I get a couple hundred for them to come build it which is nice. Are they worth the difference from there?

At those sizes, you must be storing lawn equipment and tools. The plastic sheds would probably work. One bit of advice - get more building than you think you need. You'll never regret having too much storage. I've got a 12x20 TuffShed and it was worth every penny.

I was going to go with a smaller shed just for lawn equipment within the ranges you're looking at. After researching more and talking with a few companies, I decided to go a little bigger than I thought I originally would need. Ended going with an 8x10x9 and it's perfect. Added some rails to hang a few items and there was plenty of room left to add a work bench and cabinets.

I highly recommend Swett Portable Buildings out of Covington to anyone looking for a building. Sam is standup guy and literally does everything himself: builds them, paints, and installs them. The quality is outstanding and I feel like I got a high quality building that's worth even more than I paid for it. If you're in the Northshore area, check out his website and give him a call.

I just had a 14 x 40 built by Tuff Shed Baton Rouge and it is a crappy build. Short wall studs, short and loose jack studs above door frames and on gable ends, gaps in floor decking, gaps in roof decking and crappy customer service at local and national level. Stay away from these people and don't let your friends buy Tuff Shed. I suggest you go with a Derkson or Cook building delivered.

Had a 8X10 Tuff Shed built a year ago. I looked at the cheaper metal ones but ended up spending more on the Tuff Shed. I love mine, its solid as can be.

I have a Tuff Shed that's about 10 years old. It's held up pretty well.

i had a 7x7 plastic shed from Lowes. I'd personally stay away from it unless you can get it for half off or so. the door never really did align properly. and forget about adding shelves in it unless they are 100% freestanding.
