I used the hose type Image for Southern Lawns and it has done very well.

Seems early for that. I had bad patches last year. Pulled most of them up by hand. One patch will taper down to one root

Is it not too hot for MSM?

Yes, at this time either the first one listed on the fact sheet, which is MSM Turf or Manor, or the 4th one listed which is Celsius. I do believe as stated ronk has mentioned combining those two together b/c in some areas lespedeza has shown some herbicide resistance but I’ve not personally found that to be case in my lawn.
Though the label on MSM Turf does say not to use at temps exceeding 85 F, in speaking to turf specialist more knowledgeable than me, it is safe to use into the low 90s but you must be careful not to overmix or overspray, and I’ve used it in the low 90s without issue. You may get yellowing of the surrounding lawn grass but it will recover. But I’ve also made the mistake in over spot spraying in high heat with MSM Turf and killed some surrounding centipede.
I have some lespedeza I noticed yesterday, when cutting grass, that I need to spray - I’ll use Celsius.

What kind of grass do you have?

MSM Turf alone will nuke Lespedeza. Mixing with Celsius probably overkill IMO. For me, I've never needed to apply more than 1 application either - my guess is that people are not waiting long enough (4+ weeks) for the MSM turf to kill the plant.
Mix 1/8th teaspoon of MSM turf plus a splash of surfactant per gallon of water in pump sprayer (pro-tip, MSM turf granules don't dissolve super easy, I usually mix with water in a gatorade bottle first, ensure all granules dissolved then dump into sprayer). Spray lespedeza and wait, wait, wait. You should see evidence of plant injury by week 2-3.

I sprayed image and it knocked it out quickly. Only problem, where it was i'm left with dead spots. What do i do about about that?

How has your nitrogen fertilization program been?

Grass is St. Augustine and centipede.
When appling these chemicals, do I have to worry about spraying under the drip line of shade trees? Any other cautions?
My yard is 1 acre and a pump sprayer doesn't sound like the best option.

Always start with one herbicide and only mix 2 if needed. Some weeds are showing resistance to the primary herbicide used to kill it. Lespedeza to msm or Celsius, spotted spurge to Celsius, and poa to atrazine.
Celsius and msm together will 90% of the time yellow your lawn. A good practice is to line up your spraying within a couple days of your ferting. This can help push growth and you can mow the yellow off.

I would start with celsius medium rate with a surfactant. Make two applications two weeks apart. It might seem like it did nothing and is taking forever but one day you’ll walk in the yard and you won’t see the weeds.
I would take EXTREME caution using msm. It is difficult to mix in small amounts and you can very easily smoke your yard if you aren’t experienced in application of herbicides.
If it’s not a ton it’s actually kinda fun and therapeutic to pull.

Ha that’s what I was talking about. Comes out as one clean root. Last summer I just sat in the yard and pulled them all up. Felt good
