Spirit 2 Burner marked down from $449 to $224.

Genesis E-435 regular $1649 -> $824.

Anyone in the market may want to stop by their local store and see what's available.

I wish Weber was still the quality it was in the 1990's. Stuff is so flimsy now I won't even buy it on clearance. Looking into good pellet grills now and Weber is not on the list.

I hear you regarding quality.

I have a Genesis from 2007 that is a tank. I change out the grills and burners as needed.

I had an early 1990's Genesis, replaced all the wood several times along with burners, flavorizer bars, grates, LPG hose, wheels, knobs. Gave it to a friend figuring I'd buy a new one eventually but what I found was very disappointing.

Are these prices just in store and did this just happen today? Yesterday I was in Lowes and none of their Weber models were on sale including the Spirit E210 2 burner model which was with $449 or $499 in store. I just checked Lowes.com online and this model shows $499.00.

So perhaps either this sale just started, it might only be an in store sale, or perhaps only some Lowe's stores are running the special, while others are not, although you would think that all Lowes stores would have the exact same deals?

Those are nice markdowns.

Agree that the Weber Genesis grills look a little flimsy compared to older models.

I think the Napolean grills, particularly the Prestige 500, is the better made grill and with more features at the $1,499 price point.

The Prestige Pro 500 looks really nice, but costs 2,699.

ETA: considering adding a gas grill to my patio that's an easy thing for my wife to use, as she does not want to fool with the process of the BGE start-up when I'm not home.

Would like to hear honest opinions on Napolean grills, since the OP mentioned something at a similar price.

In the past, I've noticed it is by store. Maybe those are overstocked. End of summer sales seem to be kicking off.

BTW ...the Lafayette store that has them on sale still has the retail price showing online.

Thanks but no thanks. I’m sticking with my CharBroil Tru infrared grill.

I have a natural gas Napoleon Prestige 500. It wasn't easy spending $1400 on a grill but I wanted something that would last

The grill is a machine and I feel its well built. The sear station throws a ridiculous amount of heat. I find I get a better result by putting a cast iron griddle over the sear burner. The rotisserie is awesome, I feel the way the back panel of the grill is designed with bend to it allows the rotisserie burner to work very effectively making for a nice and even heat. I like the light up indicators on the knobs. The igniters work well, consistently light the fire no problem. The stainless grates are substantial and have no rust after two years.

I went with the Napoleon after noticing too the Genesis quality was slipping for the money.

Thank you, and I appreciate you lending your experience here.

I had a TEC Patio II in the 90s and 2000s which was one of the first infrared grills on the market. Pricey, but well-made, and lasted a long time. Truth be told, it was the steel pedestal that rusted out that caused the whole thing to just fall over one day, and that was it. The grill itself was fine, but what was I going to do with no pedestal/base..?

Got a BGE, but the wife wants a gas grill with easy start up that she can use to get things cooking if I'm not at home (I work past 6-7 pm many nights per week).

The thinking was to just get something small, like a Weber Spirit 2 burner grill....but I just can't go cheap at this point in my grill experience.

Will likely get one of those Napolean grills, because they have the rotisserie option and other options that we like, maybe next year. Thank you for replying.

It's Labor Day sales time. If you have had an eye on a new grill, start looking around now. Everything should be on sale pretty soon.

Can confirm that certain Weber gas and charcoal models are on clearance at Lowes, and Walmart. Probably at Home Depot, and Target as well. Ace Hardware seems to wait until Christmas to put theirs on clearance.
