Our 9 year old Frigidaire keeps falling apart, the latest being the front panel going out.

It’s been a huge POS and I’m looking at a new fridge for the first time in a decade.

I see a lot of LG and Samsungs at Best Buy. I keep hearing stay away from them but they have really good reviews. What do you guys think? How do they stack up with GE and Whirlpool?

FYI it’s a 27 ft.³ stainless French door

Edit: I’m not an OT baller making 350, so no Viking or super high end

Our LG has been a pos.

Napoleon said in a recent thread that they all suck so just buy the one your wife likes the best.

Probably the simplest one you can find. I may even shop for an older, used one.

Funny enough, Frigidaire is one of the better brands these days.

I have had good luck with my Frigidaire….but I refuse to buy anything too advanced. No electronics for me.

I bought a Frigidaire 2 months ago. It already stopped working. It took a week for the service guy to come out. Now he has to order a part that won't be in for "a couple weeks".

Most appliances are cheaply made now. Everything is plastic, unnecessary electronics etc. Appliances made in the 90s and prior used to last 30-40 years. You are doing good if you get 10 out of one now without major repairs.

Got a Samsung and I'm not impressed - the ice maker sucks and the filter is a pain.

My parents’ LG has been a POS. Compressor has gone out twice. The second time Dad said frick it and threw it out and bought a Whirlpool.

WP is the best brand. I worked in appliances distribution for a short time and it is by far the best as far as customer satisfaction.

After having issues with my Frigidaire, 2 separate appliance repairmen recommended Whirlpool. So far so good after the making the change.

If you get Whirlpool, get a gold series. The swirl in the logo will be gold. Not sure why but they seem better built.

Get a Samsung!! They are the best ever! You can’t beat their design engineering meticulous workmanship. Warranty and service. If TD had a sarcastic font I would have used it.

If you buy a LG or Samsung Leave your address here so I can come by Halloween night and mock you for being stupid af.
