What’s the best way to get rid of these stickers?

Pics below. And whatever I put on them, will there be huge brown spots where they once were? They’re only in the back yard but there’s a ton of them.

Burrweed.
Cleggs winter cocktail killed the hell out of mine but it's too late for that now. I'm guessing celsius or MSM turf right now.
Yes. They'll still probably prick ya once dead at this point.

First year in a new house and I definitely learned my lesson for next year.
I'm never missing a winter premergent application again.

First year I used Prodiamine as preemergent.
I have Burweed, not as bad as yours. Laid down Atrazine last week and they’re not as bright green but not dieing yet. Looks like I’ll need a second app.

That’s a bad case of lawn burweed as stated. And also stated use either MSM Turf or Celsius now for control at current air temperatures.
And you need to use pre-emergent this fall to mitigate this problem. According to LSU AgCenter publication Simazine may be best pre-emergent to target Lawn Burweed. Lawn Burweed
Mature burweed is difficult to kill, it will die on its own this summer as it’s an annual winter weed.
Next winter, Jan & Feb, you need to look carefully for the small, emerging seedlings, look like little parsley plants, then spray the lawn with the winter weed cocktail (atrazine + weed free zone combo), they are much easier to kill when young/small, and you won’t have nearly the issue you have now.

I did a Fall and Spring pre emergent and still I'm picking the tiny ones out every day or so. The pre emergent definitely helped but these little bastards are a nuisance.

I have some areas in the back of my yard that look like this. I think I am going to kill it with Celsius, rake the dead spots once killed, and then get a foam roller to try and try pick up any burrs left behind. We will have to see how it works.

Same thing happened here. Atrazine turned them a lil yellow but didn’t kill. Guess it was not 60-70 degrees long enough to really kill. That’s when I love to use my shovel and chop heck out of center heart of plant.

those things are the devil
i had none in my yard but after construction due to hurricane damage a 25 x 12 section of grass died under the old sheet metal roofing and several spots in front yard where debris piles were. basically, everywhere the grass died those stickers sprouting in its place overnight as soon as the sunlight could reach the dirt again. now im not sure how or where it came from but there was never a sticker in my yard in the last 15 years i owned it and i never did anything to treat the yard so its not from lack of doing something that suddenly my whole yard is full of it

Have a hub cap size of this shite in my front yard. Must have missed the spot with the sprayer. I did hit my winter preemergent and cleggs awhile ago. Sprayed MSM two weeks ago but they aren’t even yellowing.
Gonna get on my hands and knees I guess and rub the atrazine on and maybe cover with Celsius next week.

Thats a buncha stickers!
They stick you best when they're dead I find. I would just not worry about it this year and spray for them early next year. You aren't going barefoot in that yard this year, and it'll die on its own

I never had these until this year, and they came up everywhere. Luckily got on them early with the Winter cocktail and knocked the bulk of them out. They were in my beds and lawn with a vengeance
