About 3 weeks ago I put down Cleggs Winter Cocktail. Since then my back yard was covered in weeds. I bought a spray bottle of round up weed killer (the one advertised to kill weeds, not the lawn) and put that down yesterday afternoon. Today I cut the grass back very short. When can I come back with weed and feed? Also, what type do y’all recommend?

You may regret the RoudUp Weed Killer (kills the weeds, not the lawn). I used that same product last year and it severely damaged my lawn. It’s way too strong.

On your question, don’t put any more weed killer until you see your results of the first two treatments. Maybe use just Turf Builder without weed control. Better yet, use Milorganite, as it’s slow released.

It is Overkill to do weed n feed in light of what you have already done. Plus weed n feed should be done in April when night time temperatures are higher as much of your grass is just coming out of winter dormancy.

I put down weed and feed about two weeks ago trying to kill the dollarweed it doesnt look like it is doing anything. Last year I had to buy another bag of Scott's weed and feed to knock that dollarweed out.

Hahahaha!!!! Don’t put that shite down. Weed and feed isn’t very good. You’ve done Cleggs, you’ve done round up, and now you want to apply more herbicide. This is how lawns get set back. Buy msm, buy an upper teens to mid 20’s N fert and get after it.
