I've got Acadian Windows coming next week to look at replacing 6-8 windows..these are old single pane, wooden windows probably as old as the house which is over 100 years old. These windows dont even open anymore.
any rec's besides Window World, and has any had good or bad experiences with either WW or AW?

I used Acadian. No complaints and the windows look good. Offer them cash and they will take off about $500

I used all state window & siding. They had what I thought was a better product than window world & beat their price

Call Wholesale Siding Supply in Jefferson before you call Window World. They did my dad's windows a few years ago and the prices were good.

Who?
Kidding. I called them too.

Repair or pay someone to repair the old ones. Add spring bronze weatherstripping. They will be airtight and last another 100 years. Most new windows start having problems in just a few years and have to be rplaced yet again.

We used Jefferson Door and were very happy with the product. I was comfortable with them from a previous door purchase, so I didn't really shop around on price much.

We got a contractor who measured all of our windows and they were custom made by Alside in Jefferson, LA in 2016. We have no problems. Also did my son’s windows on his house.

Damn, I completely forgot about them. I used them to replace and install new windows after Katrina. I was very please. I’m going to call them tomorrow. Thanks
