Zoysia Palisades, Empire or Centipede?

I'm in the process of installing new sod in my backyard and am having a hard time deciding on grass type. I have about 4,000 square feet to lay and am having someone do this for me. The yard gets mostly full sun with minimal shade. I also am not much of a yard guy, I usually just mow and edge and stuff but don't thatch, aerate, fertilize or water my lawn. I also usually cut it about every 10 days or so.
I was leaning Zoysia Palisades because of the clean edge it has, but heard it is higher maintenance and produces a ton of clippings.
Now I might be leaning Centipede, but I don't like how it runs out and can be tougher to keep a tight edge.
What says the HG board.

I hope the answer is Palisades Zoysia since I have a bunch scheduled to deliver on Good Friday :P
I will say the photo examples I've seen are a bit exciting.

In terms of grass quality it would Palisades. However, based on what you want you would want centipede. Centipede doesn't like to be fertilized a lot, it doesn't need to mow often, etc.

frick Centipede. If you have kids or dogs I wouldn't recommend it. Very slow growing so it doesn't recover from damage quick at all. Maybe it is great if you don't have to worry about that and don't like lawn maintenance. I had it once and will never go back.
I'm sure there are others that have a positive experience with it though.

Zoysia is more tolerant from heat and fungus than centipede and at. Aug. I was told I don’t need sprinklers for my Zoysia.

Palisade is great. I haven’t heard anyone talk about maintenance issues
It’s drought tolerant and can tolerate some shade. Empire is hard to come by these days

I love my Palisades Zoysia and think it’s a great grass selection. But:
I would recommend Centipede. It’s cheaper, very easy, and the “lazy man’s grass”. It doesn’t tolerate traffic very well, so if you have dogs or kids running on it often, it’s not a great selection.
St Aug or Bermuda are the other good choices. St. Aug has a distinctive look and likes to be cut tall. Bermuda tolerates traffic and repairs very well and loves full sun. Centipede, Zoysia, Bermuda, and St Aug are all readily available in sod.

I have celebration Bermuda and love it. It is a very soft attractive grass that recovers quickly... but it is a high maintenance grass - it prefers quite a bit of Nitrogen and during peak growing season it needs to be cut twice a week. I try and cut mine below an inch and twice a week is almost not enough to be honest.

I don't have dogs or kids so that is a plus! I had centipede at my old house and didn't love it because of the runners and it was hard to keep an edge, but it also might still be the best solution for me since I'm not in my yard everyday.
