Him and Cooley would be a great 1,2…

Whit & Perk both are coming off major injuries and a lot of new guys who need to learn the system. A lot of potential but the potential has to perform and over perform to Win and make the playoffs.
That means no 3 games of mental lapses and poor coaching or it’s 9-3 again!

Yes they would be great to get, and you're right, they should stop all the Natty talk. We hear it every year and then we wet the bed. They should have these Natty convos around Oct/Nov. I'd love a Natty, but lets wait a hot min.

Cooley has been a disappointment thus far. Safety didn't have a good spring by any accounts. I don't think Cooley is a true safety...

Yeah, I kinda agree. I'm not totally righting him off yet but he does look small. He for sure isn't a deep safety.
Imo that is what lsu has been missing. They need that free/center field safety.

Never heard more on the injury of the DL transfer from Texas. Lingering issues may be worth spending the money.

Not saying I disagree completely, but we are tied for the 2nd most natties at the turn of the century. We wet the bed in that regard the 2nd least of anyone.

The media also watched like 30 minutes of drills.
Also, Cooley is a young guy who moved from one school to another and after maybe 2.5 months of being here and learning a new scheme is getting shite? There are 4 months until kickoff, let’s not write a dude off yet because he got confused in some new drills

He still graded higher than any safety we had last year by a lot. So I would definitely give him some time to get acclimated and I think he will be fine.
