That’s big news

We’ve been in good position but always felt it was a long road. Wonder if this helps chances

Been to LSU 2x in past month. Fong likes where we are. I mean this would be incredible.

And both would be starting next year.

Add in Daylen Austin and the other CBs in this class, along with a few transfers, and the secondary could have elite talent and depth next year.

Trying to do some analysis on this recruit’s decision just from all of the recent news.

So he’s visited twice recently. Always a good sign. Watch what they do and not what they say. Wiltfong has liked our chances and where we currently stand. He’s usually in the know. Now we get the news he’s reclassifying which pushes up his decision process.

I didn’t realize until this latest reclassification news that he’s Eli’s younger brother. Wasn’t there reports that Eli wanted to come back to LSU recently? Some Twitter messages. He’s also not getting playing time at Bama. Could potentially playing with his brother have something to do with that?

All just speculation on my part. Maybe more wishful thinking.

I’m pretty sure this isn’t true

Interesting what!?! Would be huge for this class 23, he’s ranked as the one of the TOP elite CBs in 24. He now ranks as a TOP 5 corner in 23. The reason he reclassified is because he wants to play or make an impact immediately, his words. And guess who needs an Elite CB right now— LSU—— Oh please Baby Jesus, help him find his way

To Baton Rouge Louisiana!

Then that reporter should probably do more research and not just look at both of them having gone to IMG

I’m with you guys. I remember people asking if they were related early when his name was first mentioned on this board. And the answer was no. Just going by what this reporter said in his article.

Elias Ricks is from Rancho Cucamonga, California.

Desmond Ricks is from Chesapeake, Virginia.

Correct. This from 247: "Originally from Chesapeake, Virginia. Grew up running track and was the city champion in the 200-meter dash when he was 14 years old."

Would love to have him but he's probably going to Bama. Still plenty of other talented CBs that we're in good position to land though

He’s not Eli Ricks’ brother. Eli is from California, Desmond is originally from Virginia.

Probably. Saban will most likely make up some BS sales pitch about how his brother is doing very well and all that. Saban is a salesman like John Calipari, both are sleazy and will break rules to get what they want.
