Lower rated LA commit.

Hard to say how he compares without seeing him against college competition. All I know is that I have seen him play against Ponchatoula a few times and the kid is a stud.

Is he a little underrated? Yes.

is he a future 1st round WR? No.

Jefferson is arguably the best WR in the NFL right now.

I saw more of him last year than this year. He's very crisp, nothing completely blows you away but he's solid at everything.

Odds are highly unlikely he will be an NFL all pro his second year in the league. However, he could some day be a very serviceable player for us.

I love how questions get asked on this board that are impossible to answer.

Yeah sure he’s going to have the exact same career path as Justin Jefferson

I would imagine people said the exact same thing about Jefferson when he was coming out of HS. He was literally the lowest rated prospect of that LSU recruiting class

Point being, you never know

He might be more like a Russell Gage, and that'd be great. Particularly in a transition class like this one.

If he can competently run routes, read defenses, catch and block, he will be an asset.

Miami fan here. Really disappointed that Mario didn't keep him. I get it with the new coach and what he's looking for but I really liked Ibieta. Kid is a really good athlete, competes and is a very hard worker. You guys got a good one.

The thing about Jefferson is the moment he was able to hang with his brothers he was at the facility / field in NOLA going against elite talent, and finding ways to win. It's pretty rare and impressive. That's why he's killing it in the NFL.
