Thread was somewhat hijacked.

I wish I knew where things stand with Williams and/or any others in the portal that LSU has interest in. Any valid news out there tiger nation?

always is. Look at most threads on the recruiting board and most turn into a pissing match.

Yea it's been really quiet with the portal besides Kate. I'm sure they are making sure we don't just jump at any good prospect that hits the portal. Gotta find the right fit that has the talent to immediately help our team this year.

While we wait on portal news, here’s the Girls Jordan Brand Classic All-Star Game.

Black jerseys:
PG Bella Hines #3
PF Grace Knox #4
G/W Divine Bourrage #6

White jerseys:
G/W ZaKiyah Johnson #11

These future Tigers all had their moments and their names mentioned, but for me, Bella Hines stood out this game. The offense runs smoothly when she is handling the ball.

Funny thing is, before I watched this game, I was looking for some Bella Hines highlights and came across some clips of her taking a charge, which is rare in HS clips. Then I watched a New Mexico local interview and she said she loves taking charges and wants to break Poa’s charge-taking record. Sure enough, in the JBC game, she takes a charge.

There was no hijacking, just a comment on the quality of or rather lack of quality of the original video. Or maybe you're saying people shouldn't be allowed to express their opinions on said quality. If so, my sincere apologies.

Just wait, maybe you'll get a 2 hour video with the info you'd like.

Is it just me, or did some of the players in this game seem like they had personal agendas out there? The game didn’t feel like a typical all-star matchup. Something about the energy and the flow felt… off. It came across almost scripted, like certain moments were pre-planned or certain players were being showcased intentionally. All-star games are usually loose and highlight-focused, but this one felt like it had layers—like there was more going on behind the scenes.

Guess what? Jill Schneider, the coach of Chavez's Monterrey High team, was the coach for Chavez's team at the Jordan Brand Classic.

I'm guessing she is going to take her other visits.

I think she’s done taking visits. Should have an announcement sometime this week on her decision.

That'd be so sweet. This is a Final Four roster with Williams. Add Fulwiley, and this is the Championship favorite.

They'd have it all with premium talent: veteran starters, blue-chip newbies, half-court scoring, full-court/fastbreak scoring, 3pt range, mid-range, post scoring, front-court/back-court defense, off/def rebounding, steals, blocks, assists, depth...I'm just not familiar enough with that theoretical roster to say if TO's or PF's would improve or worsen.

Portal closes April 23 to enter your name, but an athlete can make decision/commitment any time, even after April 23.

Not going to outspend Geno and they just won a Natty so a lot of positives in their favor.

Yes LSU will. If she goes to UConn it will not be because of money.

Is she visiting uconn now? If so that's not a good thing.

Lsu has a wide open spot for her though, where as uconn has Sarah strong and others in the front court.

link? based on? Not saying it won't happen but seems like LSU is confident.
