Griffin was the No. 1-rated prospect in the Class of 2025, reclassified to 2024. Baseball America lists him as the No. 1 high school player in the 2024 MLB Draft.
Two-way player, FB up to 93 mph, advanced arm strength in the outfield, according to Perfect Game #LSU

He’s an absolute stud. About as sure of a thing as there is. Hope he ever steps foot on campus.

MLB lock, great that he's giving us a look though

They sure did invest a lot into the recruiting process for him to be a lock for pro ball at 17 years old.

He comes from a great family. Younger brother plays with my son. We’ll see how it shakes out

NIL- More top ranked guys may pass up MLB for college. This is already becoming more common plus the only thing that stopped kids from coming to school was money and now they can get money and get the college experience at a school like LSU with an impeccable pedigree and better facilities than most all minor leagues

Not to rain on the subject but nil isn’t a player for guys going in the first few picks .

NIL really isn’t a player for pretty much the entire first round.

The 1:1 pick in 2022 was worth 8.8 million dollars.
The last pick in the first round was worth 2.5 mil.
NIL is never going to make up for that in college baseball. If a kid passes up that kind of money it’s because he wanted to be at LSU not because of what LSU paid him.

Get Gordon. Get it done

So he should be a sophomore but reclassified as a junior? And he’s 17?

LSU Baseball should have mid 7 figures to pass out to lure players to skip the draft. With all LSU has done for the Marucci brand they should be shoveling money at elite prospects. So easy, just sign them up to a long-term promotion deal that escalates if they get drafted.

They are and it’s working.
Konnor Griffin at LSU for a bit is great for Marucci’s metal line. They want him at LSU even more than you and I.

What’s the point of even committing to a college when you’ll never step foot on campus. It’s a pipe dream he ever sniffs BR.

Very surprised LSU pulled a player from jackson Prep, but then again they pulled one from Taylorsville and it's much harder to get a good player out of Smith County.

It did for Dylan Crews and many other kids that's were going to be first rounders that are going to college. It's happening more than you think.

You're right! Why would a high draft pick (outside the money) want to spend time on long, shitty bus rides to Class A parks for a year before moving on to shitty High A or AA parks playing in front of 850 fans?

High reward high risk in case he doesn’t go draft.
