Is it just me or is Louisiana balling out on a national level at the QB position right now.

Eli Holstein
Arch Manning
Walker Howard
Ricki Collins

Anyone other QB to keep an eye on?

Familiar , with 1st 3 where does Collins play, but you right, of course we won’t get them all, but sure is nice knowing whoever we sign , the talent will be there for sure, if our coaching is what we hope they are, we will be in the serious contention for playoffs every year.

Not sure if he'll be a big prospect or not but Josh Booty's son, Peyton Fulghum, started QB as a freshman at Evangel this year. His dad is the most decorated high school athlete in history and his mom's side of the family is athletic so he should have the genes.

Not sure of the exact school Collins attends but it's in Baton Rouge.

Why doesn’t he have his last name?

Not going to go into details because I don't know the facts 100% but Josh wasn't around when they were born. Pretty sure he's stepped up and is very involved with them(twins) now.

Collins goes to Woodlawn, gets a lot of exposure on the 7v7 circuit from his coaches

No I pointed this out in a discussion on the SEC Rant about NFL talent per capita at skill positions (RB, DB, WR) where LA is a clear #1. QB of course has been a problem as all 3 of LSU's NC winning QB's in the last 20 years were from OOS (Mauck, Indiana, Flynn Texas and Joe, Ohio).

Seems most HS coaches in LA when the spread offenses proliferated in HS ball went with the Run Spread version and put best Athlete at QB. Texas on the other hand went pass spread early on and had the 7-7 leagues to develop those type QBs.

Seems the last 6 to 8 years 7-7 in LA has gotten really good with guys like Rohan Davey coaching in that area. That in turn is resulting in QB's in LA HS ball that we see now.

Another talented HS QB is Mooney the young man from Denham Springs, good baseball player and seems that Nebraska is on him heavy for QB as well as West Virgina, Miami, UVA and Ole Miss is recruiting him. He is also in the 2023 class. So LA HS ball could have 4 Power 5 QB's in one recruiting class, Manning, Holstein Collins and Mooney.

If Arche doesn't come to LSU I hope he goes to a school not in the SEC. He would seem to fit in well at a school like Duke. But looking at his film he sure is smooth.

Two other ACC teams would be ahead of Duke. Clemson and UVA. His mom is a UVA alum.

Didn’t realize he was on the same level as the others. Then heard he won MVP of the Rivals Camp.

Louisiana is so loaded at QB next few years.

Good athlete. Not on same level as other players mentioned from a qb standpoint
