Not sure if you guys know this but both Nick James and Quay Evans had run ins with their head coaches and were suspended last week. Quay's team is finished for the season and James' team plays Friday in the playoffs, not sure if he will be back from suspension or not.

Richie Brown continues to impress with 17TDs and over 160 tackles through 10 games.

Channing Ward's team is in the playoffs this week, and Im hearing that Ole Miss is no longer an option for him because of his close relationship with Houston Nutt.

Jeremy Liggins team WON big last week in front of Dan Mullen and 2 assistants. He has trimmed his list to LSU, Bama, OM , and State.

Anthony Alford visited Nebraska this past weekend, and supposedly had a "Blast" and "Loved their atmosphere" but then again they lost.

Do you guys think you land any of the 5 guys I named? Im sure you'd like to get them all, but be realistic you aren't going to have room for all 5 plus Collins and any other recruits you want to sign late

It seems with the Spence kid from Pennsylvania, and Phillips and Devall in the mix you pick and choose who you want from here on out.

Wow...what are the chances this happens on the same weekend? We got some thugs here?

Can't believe Nutt was a deciding factor

Neither DT will be at LSU. Can't get a good read on Ward. Best chances with these 5 are Brown and Liggins/Alford imo.

I wish it was this easy...Phillips and Devall are looking hard elsewhere. Spence will be tough just because he's way up north.

True...but I'm just saying it won't be easy. PSU stuff helps.

I feel good about getting one of either Brown or Ward, with the Ole Miss situation and our current success making it look better and better every day.

Last I heard we lead for Liggins, so that looks pretty good. I still don't know how much we really want Alford with baseball almost certainly in the cards.

I think Liggins and Ward are our two most likely pulls. The bama fans are pretty confident about Evans and I think James and LSU cooled on each other a month or two ago. We may get Alford, but we won't keep him, so I don't really think about where he ends up.

Probably none. Maybe Alford or Brown. I think Brown is down the list now. Ward would be really nice but I think he is going to Bama.

That's the word on most MSU sites.

I know he does not get as much attention as Ward/Evans/Alford do i feel like he is the best player in the state this year. He is in on EVERY play when he is playing LB. Just a hell of a football player.

How he remains a 3 star is beyond me. He plays for a 5A school and hardly EVER comes off of the field.

I think he will be one of 3 MR. Football finalists in Mississippi along with Alford and Liggins.

That 3 star rating is a joke. Whoever gets this guy will be getting a gem.

Im not sure if Bama has offered him. I know Auburn has but I dont think Bama has.

I think Richie is down to State, LSU, Ole Miss, and Southern Miss.

Richie will be here if Devall winds up elsewhere I think.

Is Ward's mom extremely old or sick? I understand some of these kids want to stay close to their parents or parent in some cases, but if I'm a parent, I want my kid to go to the best place for him to succeed. I just don't see Ward as a Jack LB, which is his likely destination at Bama. He plays a lot like Sam Montgomery to me

Ward will never play LB. He is already up to 55 and I see him eventually playing DT in college at 285 or even up to 300. He reminds me a lot of Fletcher Cox.

Seriously, would LSU take his commitment right now if he chose to commit to them.

no, I don't think LSU would take liggins or brown or alford yet. having said that, I don't know what would make LSU accept one of these guys other than the change of years to 2012.

So I'm guessing it is down to State and USM for AJ Jefferson? Looks like he's done with offers. I think he's leaning towards State.
