Well there’s this brand new concept where the player gets to pick which school he’ll attend and play football at. Mind blowing, I know.

Genuine question ipod, are you ever not bitching like a little girl?

We don’t have a special teams coach Da CBK Effect
Very few P5 programs have dedicated ST coaches now. A position coach with less responsibility handles it for most. We just need to hire someone better at it than Nagel.

Peyton was best in the nation, until he got to LSU....who screwed him up? Get a top ST coach, preferably one from the Beamer coaching tree.
frick off with this casual shite. A Special Teams coach handles lineups, snapping and holding, protection, return coverage, kick block/safe, and practicing fakes. They aren’t out there fine tuning punting technique. Most kickers go train with specialists.

Arron Burrell was the no.3 kicker in the country in 24. He’s been a weapon for us on kickoffs. I’m sure he’ll push for expanded role soon enough.
The rabble here doesn’t care about details that don’t align with their narrative.

Either of the younger two Murray boys would have been epic…
I expect Ramos then Burrell…and those two kickers couldn’t be further apart as to what they bring to the table.

Clearly LSU does not give a frick about special teams. (They’ve missed on the #1 kicker in the country 3 straight years and will again next year.)
Best of luck to your kid, but let’s not pretend you are even remotely objective on this topic.

I know Peyton, I drove 3.5 hours to bring my son to his coach because he was so good at kickoffs. I know the other two number 1s I referenced. Drove them around for camps a ton.
I’m an LSU fan…I never had any coach reach out to LSU for my son. It’s about coaches, and at every SEC school that offered my son there were stand out staff that I felt could help my son go pro. I’m not sure how that’s not objective. My son picked the best one for him and there isn’t anyone on LSU’s staff (that I’ve heard of or heard about) that could hold a candle to any of the 3 schools’ coaches.

LSU was among the schools he considered. He had built a strong rapport with Greg McMahon — the special teams coordinator back then — and even spoke with Cade York, the LSU kicker at the time. But Peyton never heard back from the school after coach Ed Orgeron was replaced by Brian Kelly after the 2021 season. "(Former special teams coordinator) Brian Polian was the only one who read his text and didn't respond back," Ross said.

Lives in Youngsville LA. All family ties are with UGA. Don’t blame anyone on this one. I’m personal friends of the family so that’s what was told to me

And what's the OP's issue with Ramos?? You seem racist bruh.

Name one game that LSU lost the last three years because of a field goal kicker.

I don't get the Ramos hate; he's been pretty solid.

A family member also told me that LSU takes a kicker every other year and he fell between Dilbert and Burrell. He wanted LSU

Both KOS. We haven’t had a top ranked PK since York. Not getting one next year…so maybe we find a ‘26…that would effectively compete for the job in ‘27.

Ever hear of a little thing called the transfer portal? Notre Dame’s kicker who made 3 key FGs yesterday was from the portal. Hell, Tracy was a grad transfer. Let’s not pretend that isn’t an option.
