Women's hoops: Mjiracle Sheppard to the portal - maybe portends good news for LSU?

I liked Sheppard, particularly on defense, but I wonder if she is leaving because of a potential Fulwiley signing....

It was bound to happen and may need one more transfer. Just too many guards and not enough minutes, even for a 3-guard starting lineup.

She had some upside potential based on last year play. She must know something that we don’t. Hope it’s a few more studs signing this week.

The back court was going to get crowded with the incoming freshmen and who we may have coming in the portal. But Sheppard’s defense always meant she’d be an asset, albeit a niche one.
I was hoping it would be Gilbert to transfer. She’ll likely be at the end of the bench anyway.

I don't know who is coming here, but we are certainly clearing spots for somebody. For those of you who follow the portal occupants, who is out there, that would be much better than Poa and Sheppard for the backcourt? Anybody else has left that I forgot about? TIA

I wouldn’t mind Gilbert transferring if Fulwiley does transfer in. She is too hot and cold and doesn’t know when to stop shooting when she’s off.

The lack of letting someone else shoot the ball started to become a problem as the season went on with her. That has to improve more than anything else.

I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree. Back in January, there were people on this board suggesting that Gilbert should be a starter over Williams. Now all of a sudden people want her to transfer. Yes, she took shots at inopportune times, but she can learn when and where to get her shots as she continues in the program. If she doesn't, Kim will reduce her minutes.
