This just popped up in my YouTube feed. I knew 2007 was nuts, but watching this made me realize just how crazy it was. Glad the good guys ended up on top.

Undefeated in regulation.

only Leslie could drop 2 games with that talent

That year started off with App State beating Michigan, and only got crazier from there.

It’s so fitting that during the craziest season Les would win the national championship.

Georgia was playing the best football in the country for 6 weeks prior to the SEC Championship game. They finished 11-2 overall (6-2 SEC). They were a much better team than Tennessee (Georgia had lost to the Vols early in the season which kept them out of the SECCG). Georgia destroyed Auburn and Florida, two teams LSU struggled to beat.
Georgia was the best team in America in 2007; they proved it in the Sugar Bowl where they annihilated unbeaten Hawaii.

That season was a blast. EVERY game meant something. I probably watched more football that season than ever in my life because it was all relevant. Teams I may never watch again. Crazy that LSU won it all.
That was also the season in which I found this forum. Wish I still had my original account :)

Still have no clue how Pitt beat West Virginia but I won't complain

Definitely a wild year. I had honestly thought we stood no realistic chance of getting to the BCS national championship game after the Arkansas loss, but that last week was incredibly fortuitous for the tigers. Would still do again.

I see odd topics often suggested for a 30 for 30. The 2007 college football season is one that makes the most sense.
They could easily fill a ten part, ten hour series on that season and still not touch on all of the craziness. I would love to see it.

This is incredibly dumb. LSU was and possibly is the only team ever to defeat 5 teams that FINISHED in the top 15.

Your stupidity has no bounds on these boards.

That Hawaii team really wasn't anything special even though undefeated. They had to rally against multiple teams with losing records. It was not shocking at all what UGA did to them in the Sugar Bowl.

It’s was fricking Hawaii. They had Colt Brennan and that’s it. The defense Hawaii fielded that year would have put them around 1-7 in the sec.

A win against a VASTLY OVERRATED Hawaii proves nothing

I had the pleasure of actually being on the field for that Sugar Bowl. When both teams walked out and were on the field together, you knew what the outcome was going to be.

Karma brought us Iowa St vs Oklahoma St 4 short years later. Think we're even.

2019 is my favorite football season because of how special that season was, but the 2007 season was one of the most exciting season's I ever saw in my life. Was like a really good Netflix show or something. Every single week things got more and more interesting. shite, as each Saturday would progress, things would get more and more interesting. That was when CFB was at its best. I miss the early to mid 2000s CFB.
