Mississippi State Bulldogs
Early projection: 3-9, 0-8

Vanderbilt Commodores
Early projection: 5-7, 1-7

Kentucky Wildcats
Early projection: 3-9, 0-8

Missouri Tigers
Early projection: 7-5, 3-5

ARKANSAS RAZORBACKS
Early projection: 5-7, 2-6

OLE MISS REBELS
Early projection: 9-3, 6-3

TEXAS A&M AGGIES
Early projection: 6-6, 3-5

AUBURN TIGERS
Early projection: 9-3, 6-3

SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS
Early projection: 8-4, 4-4

OKLAHOMA SOONERS
Early projection: 8-4, 4-4

FLORIDA GATORS
Early projection: 8-4, 4-4

TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERS
Early projection: 9-3, 5-3

LSU TIGERS
Game-by-game predictions: at Clemson (Win), Louisiana Tech (Win), Florida (Win), Southeastern Louisiana (Win), at Ole Miss (Win), South Carolina (Win), at Vanderbilt (Win), Texas A&M (Win), at Alabama (Loss), Arkansas (Win), WKU (Win), at Oklahoma (Loss)

Early projection: 10-2, 6-2

Brian Kelly already guaranteed a playoff berth for 2025.. In fact, the Tigers could roll into Norman, Oklahoma inside the top five for the regular-season finale before suffering a bit of a surprising loss to the Sooners. Still, beating Clemson on the road in Week 1 and snapping their lengthy opening weekend losing skid will come in handy with the selection committee.

ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE
Game-by-game predictions: at Florida State (Win), ULM (Win), Wisconsin (Win), at Georgia (Loss), Vanderbilt (Win), at Missouri (Win), Tennessee (Win), at South Carolina (Loss), LSU (Win), Oklahoma (Win), Eastern Illinois (Win), at Auburn (Win)

Early projection: 10-2, 6-2

Alabama makes the playoff in Kalen DeBoer's second season if the Crimson Tide end November on a four-game winning streak including three against ranked teams. That would be more than enough — regardless of what happens in the SEC Championship Game — to earn an at-large spot in the expanded postseason. The arrival of Ryan Grubb on DeBoer's staff will benefit this offense, as it begins a new era at quarterback.

GEORGIA BULLDOGS
Game-by-game predictions: Marshall (Win), Austin Peay (Win), at Tennessee (Win), Alabama (Win), Kentucky (Win), at Auburn (Loss), Ole Miss (Win), Florida (Win), at Mississippi State (Win), Texas (Win), Charlotte (Win), at Georgia Tech (Loss)

Early projection: 10-2, 7-1

That's the thing with uber-talented teams against landmine-filled schedules in the SEC — you're bound to suffer a setback or two just because of the sheer amount of ranked opponents. With Gunner Stockton at quarterback and a litany of new starters on defense, perhaps the defending league champion battle their way back to Atlanta despite a couple (projected) losses on the road.

TEXAS LONGHORNS
Game-by-game predictions: at Ohio State (Loss), San Jose State (Win), UTEP (Win), Sam Houston (Win), at Florida (Win), Oklahoma (Win), at Kentucky (Win), at Mississippi State (Win), Vanderbilt (Win), at Georgia (Loss), Arkansas (Win), Texas A&M (Win)

Early projection: 10-2, 7-1

Texas is getting back to the SEC Championship and this time, the Longhorns are going to end the 2025 season as league champions. Arch Manning projects as one of the statistically-enhanced quarterbacks, but he's not going to get there until after the season opener at Ohio State. That's a brutal game for Texas against the defending national champions. From there, the Longhorns will win eight straight to stay inside the top four before going to Athens in November for the first of potentially two games once again with Georgia.

Going into Norman with only one loss and a chance to lock up a playoff spot only to lose and probably miss out seems like a realistic BK scenario.

A 10-1 LSU team rolling into Norman with a SEC title birth on the line and losing to a 7-4 Oklahoma team? yeah, okay ...

I forgot about that... you're absolutely right. He would be the coach to fumble the opportunity. The melt would be catastrophic

LSU not great in cold. November in Norman could be real chilly!

That's very true... playing @ Arkansas in November has always been vulnerable game for LSU.

10-2 LSU would make it, it was the 9-3 SEC teams that got left out this year.

10-2 Tennessee was a #9 seed

Actually sounds like a similar scenario to Ohio State losing to Michigan this year

Losing the last SEC game of the season to OU and going 10-2 would make playoff selection an iffy proposition. If the two losses came earlier in the season, making the playoffs at 10-2 with finishing strong would make it more comfortable.

We were 9-2 with Jayden Daniels and went to a 4-7 A&M team and got our dicks knocked in the dirt.

We just got our arse whipped by an awful Florida team.

But it's laughable to say we'll choke in a finale in Norman Oklahoma in December?

I don't understand why some of our fans are so arrogant. Like we're too good to do exactly what Alabama just did or that Brian Kelly always wins big games.

See Ohio State this year.
They were an 8 seed

This is all hypothetical anyways, nobody is predicting the entire season correctly

I don’t see Alabama beating LSU with a first year starting QB. Likewise , I don’t see OU beating LSU given the personnel they lost. Clemson and South Carolina are the two games that pose the most risk. Ole Miss too, but their QB situation is also a variable. If they stay healthy , South Carolina is the team to beat this year in the SEC.

Ain't no way we're dropping a critical playoff positioning game in Norman.
I hate this has become our Thanksgiving weekend game

I'd take 10-2 with a win over Clemson all day, playoffs for sure

I would feel better about our chances beating Bammer at home than Ole Piss. I think DeBoer takes another step back this year. BK is good for at least two choke jobs on the road and I kind of agree with Oklahoma being one. I just hope it’s not Clemson because it’s really hard to go through that schedule with only 1 L in SEC play.

Absolutely. Unfortunately, we will have two losses by that time, maybe more. Clemson is a guaranteed L that this article has as a W.

UF at home will be tough and OM on the road is another one.

Based on his coaching history, this is another 3-4 loss season.

Yeah LSU would never have a let down game losing to a team they should beat late in the season.. how dare anyone think that’s possible
