I know it sucks as a big time baseball fan I’m not enjoying it but it is baseball. LSU is not the only highly ranked team to be struggling. We lost a lot of experience

TCU 20-11 (5-10)
Wake Forest 21-10 (7-8)
Florida 17-14 (6-6) swept by missouri
LSU 21-12 (3-9)

And we’ve played the hardest schedule out of the others by far. hopefully we can win some series down the stretch. I would be more embarrassed if we had those records in those conferences @ TCU & Wake.

I know perspective and all, but it’s not cheering me up. No one wants to be the stinkiest turd in the toilet bowl….

I’m actually surprised by TCU. They had a lot of close games OOC but they were still finding ways to win

Our fans are the worst. The sky is not falling. We lost stud pitchers and veteran players that were very good. Beloso, Dugas, Morgan, Crews, Jobert, Thompson. We lost Cooper, Skenes, Ty Floyd, etc. Sure we have talent now but jesus peole it may take some time to find out what works and what players actually can contribute this early. I mean Dugus, Morgan, Crews were pretty damn good at getting on base last year and it took awhile for the pitching to come around. New pitching coach also. I trust Jay to turn it around but it does take time.

We actually have the 42nd ranked SOS. Wake’s SOS is #2. Florida’s SOS is #5.

All 3 of those teams have a higher RPI than us as well. Your feelings don’t match the facts.

The biggest difference with LSU and those other teams is we won the CWS and they didn’t. Years like this are reasons you hate to waste opportunities like last year and LSU stepped up and won it

Look back to 2012, 2013 , 2015, 2016 and 2017. All those teams were good enough to win but none did. At least we know CJJ can get us there and win it as well.

Hopefully we can find a spark and get into a regional this year but we saw after Johnson’s first year he isn’t going to sit and wait. He’ll go and get the best transfers he can along with his recruiting classes.

“We actually have the 42nd ranked SOS. Wake’s SOS is #2. Florida’s SOS is #5”

Florida has played a weaker SEC schedule and beat us head to head, harder mid week and early season schedule which is why this is how it is. Our first 15 games were rather weak. Wake forest is inflated because they really overrate the power of the ACC I’m not buying it until the conference does something in the post season. AKA Clemson last year.

And LSU can't win 2 of 3 in a 3 games series from any of them.

1998 was set up and should have won a 3rd straight. Teams that made the championship game had no pitching left and think it was ridiculous 21-14 or something like that in the final. If we had won one more game we would have rolled in the championship if I remember correctly
