4 Games left in SEC play and 5 teams are within 1 game of each other.

South Carolina 13-14
Vanderbilt, Florida, Alabama, and Ole miss 11-15
LSU 10-16
Missouri 8-18

South Carolina has 3 games @ Tenn

Vanderbilt : 1 vs Tenn, 3 @ Kentucky

Florida: 1 vs Kentucky, 3 @ Georgia

Alabama: 1 vs LSU, 3 @ Auburn

LSU: 1 @ Bama, 3 vs Ole Miss

Ole Miss: 1 vs Texas AM, 3 @ LSU

Missouri: 1 vs Auburn, 3 @ Miss State

I like our chances with our schedule left compared to other teams other than Bama but Vanderbilt / Florida have h2h tiebreaker

Not overly impressed with the SEC this season, despite what metrics say. I’d be surprised if we see 3-4 teams in Omaha again this year.

I don’t think the top teams are as good as previous years but still think roster talent and competition wise the conference is a step ahead.

I think it's the opposite. I think the records are what they are because there's just so many good teams. The number of teams in Omaha will be limited because some teams will have to go through each other to get there but I think any of the top 10 teams in the SEC could make it to Omaha.

You had similar records last year but you had elite talent and elite teams. I think the overall talent is a tick down. It’s understandable considering how many high draft picks there were. Just an opinion I have.

Weird how every D1 poll in America disagrees with you.

Id be surprised if 3-4 sec teams arent in omaha. The acc is good, but their lineups are young. The big 10 has nothing, the pac is down, the big 12 has 2-3 contenders.
Id guess tennessee and arkansas will be in omaha, then some combo of kentucky, miss st, and georgia as well. Kentucky has the most experienced power 5 lineup ive seen

I think the regional/superregional layouts will dictate how many can get to Omaha. !6 regionals, 8 supers. How many SEC vs SEC supers will we see?

LSU’s odds of finishing in the top 10 seem pretty high if they finish 13-17 by taking 2/3 from Alabama and Ole Miss. That would put Alabama and Ole Miss behind LSU and Vandy and Florida have a tough schedule to finish it out.

I’m with you boat, I think todays game will dictate a lot and our bats have been solid the first 2 games of this series. I just hope someone in the pen can keep Alabama off balance, that’s a good hitting team who puts the ball in play a lot. I really feel like they’ve struggled pretty hard with the 6 LH hitters vs our LHPs

Problem is our 3 LHP left are Anderson - started Tuesday and pitched 40ish pitches and wasn’t as sharp (think he’s getting freshman fatigue)

Cam Johnson - still figuring out the mechanics not consistent enough in the strike zone yet

Coleman - Hasn’t pitched a big time game in a month and a half.

LSU is 1-7 on “Sundays” so something will have to change today. Today is pretty much an elimination game since you don’t want to go into the last weekend needing a sweep when you haven’t gotten one all season and couldn’t even sweep Auburn at home.

What 6 teams do you see having a better shot of getting to Omaha than the 3rd and 4th best SEC team, both of which are currently ranked 4 and 5 in the country?
