Anywhere from LSU -1.5 to Bama -2.5. Where do you think it settles?

I just don’t see how they are favored in Tiger Stadium. Yes, we’ve looked bad at times but so have they outside one half versus UGA. Home field and coaching should have us favored imo

Not a bad guess. Can’t imagine how they’d be favored

Let Bama be the favorite. And that is what I anticipate happening.

I’m seeing Bama -2.5 currently on Fanduel. Matches what the books think of our odds to make CFP.

Bama -115
LSU +220

That would mean Bama is -5.5 neutral field which is ludicrous

As it should. There were those on here that couldn’t believe Texas A&M was favored over LSU last week. At game time I suspect Alabama would be 1.0 favorite.

I won money betting on LSU vs Ole Miss. Can’t bet against the Tigers on Saturday Night in Death Valley

It's not some grand conspiracy. The oddsmakers set lines by using their own "power rating" metrics which is essentially a data driven number. Depending upon where you look Alabama has anywhere from a 2-5 point better PR than LSU. As the home team LSU gets 3 - 3.5 points, which means the opening line settles somewhere between LSU -1.5 and Alabama -2.5.

It's all data driven. The oddsmakers are sitting around thinking about how they can confuse a handful of LSU fans on a message board.

Either team could come out and win by 17.

After what we saw at A&M from a freshman backup qb? If we don’t figure out how to stop a running RPO qb this week, we will take an arse whipping under the lights at home Saturday night!

Actually there are five SEC that would be favored over LSU right now and we all know who they are so nix the BS.

Not a valid excuse in 2024.
They are 1-2 on the road

It's a moot point unless we fix our running game and offensive play calling.
