Dude gave up after winning a title. It's like the players who think getting drafted is winning the lottery and don't work anymore.

We were ahead of UGA. If we had a coach who was ambitious, we would have stayed ahead of UGA and won 2+ more titles. Instead, we cratered.

Pretty sure that when you win a NC with an upperclassmen dominated team and lose your DC and OC over the next year plus your starting QB gets injured 2 years in a row and one of those years was a Covid year, you have to expect a few down years. Saban wouldn't have done any better.

Wish him well & 2018-2019 were awesome, but the dude tanked our program and left us with 39 scholarship players
And all the Luzianner Lifer MA Trash still worship his arse because that's what they do. (Worship and Idolize mediocrity)

That's why the State of Louisiana is the way it is!

Did you snap a picture of Pirate King and Tiger Ree running behind him collecting the droplets of sweat that fell off his chest?

Well using Ole Miss as an indicator, I'm guessing no.

Never was a fan! He far outgrew his station in life. Joe alevas ignorance put him there and he was fortunate to have Dave Aranda on his staff. As soon as Aranda left the wheels came flying off.

Say whatever yall want, he caught lighting in a bottle but he sure as hell did catch it.

Tom Herman and Jimbo Fisher both passed on Joe Burrow.

No Coach O means no Joe Burrow and 2019 was worth a decade of mediocrity

Tiger fans do not give him near the reverence and respect he deserves. A frickin native son from down da bayou comes home and forms the best CFB team in history; smokes every opponent except a tough, close game with UF. Not just the best LSU team ever, but more talented and dominate than ANY CFB team in history. Not Bama, USC, Ohio State, Michigan, OU, etc has ever assembled a team close to this dominant.

And there are many people on this board that continually slam him because he didn’t continue the excellence through the covid year of 2020, and 2021. So frickin what. Nobody will ever take from him creating the greatest team in CFB history, period. Appreciate this La native son and his exclusive accomplishment.

He would have been ran out of town eventually for not going 15-0 again. All it would take is missing a bowl game one time.

He would have had LSU about the same as we are today with a few 7-6 seasons mixed in there. I don’t see O winning 10+ every season.

Saban built the program from the ashes to a championship team, but left for the NFL and came back to coach our bitter rival.
Les won a championship, but couldn't change his philosophy when the program started to struggle.
O brought the team to the pinnacle of an undefeated, all-time great team and squandered all that equity the next couple years.
Kelly got a quick turnaround and took the team to the SECCG, but bad hires and slow starts have hampered his progress. His tenure remains incomplete.

We've had good and bad from every coach since 2000.
