People on here hate Schloss but he’s a damn good coach. If he had coached all of those years at Texas instead of TCU, he’d have multiple natty’s imo. Btw this isn’t a knock on Jay as I’m very happy he’s our coach

For starters..He’s in year 1 at Texas and has a better team than LSU. He also built the roster that had A&M preseason #1

Cool, but he still hasn’t won it all and he is like 6 years older. Of course he is good. He is kind of a prick which is fine when you win, but if all things are equal or not as good then give me the actual likable guy who has won more.
I am very happy we have Jay over him. People only live in the very moment.

He’s been coaching a while though at multiple schools now. Good for him. Good thing he didn’t come to LSU, because he seems like the kind of guy who would have bolted to Texas anyways.
I really don’t understand this place sometimes. FWIW, Schloss was among my top 3 to replace Coach Paul. Vitello was 1. Glad we got Jay.

So if you haven't won it all you aren't good enough to coach here? With that logic the options for Woodward to hire would've been guys like Corbin, O'Sullivan, Lemonis, and O'Connor. Not only slim pickings but also wouldve been much worse hires than Jay.
Schloss is a complete dick bag and I would never want him at LSU but he's obviously a very good coach with the jobs he's done at TCU, A&M, and Texas

Maybe. But pre NIL he also had the same built in scholarship advantage at TCU that Vandy had and, to my knowledge at least, never made the finals.
