Today is put up or shut up. They lose today and this team could find itself not only losing a double bye, but also a single bye. You think I'm kidding? We play at A&M next week, they have been playing much better, until this weekend at Texas...they will be ready at home next week. Meanwhile, Tenn will be firmly entrenched against us, and Ga is 12-9 and plays Mizz this coming week. OM is right on our heals as well as a couple other teams. That last weekend at SC we might have to take all 3 to save a single bye.

YES! transfer portal and freshman class - transfer portal pitchers except Cowan have been weaker than expected...so much so you are depending on the freshman pitchers. The freshman position players except Curiel and Arrambide are very good just behind older guys. Those two are holding their weight; Tenner just does it better - recruiting and development.

Right now we look like we are somewhere between the 4th to 7th best team in the SEC. Hopefully we catch fire pretty quick. Or we may slide toward the bottom of the single bye list. Or worse.

SEC wins are what matters not tournament seeding. Win a game or two in the tournament and call it a day.

People are bitching because the good starting pitching is over shadowed by the poor showing at the plate and the inability of the back half of the pen to throw a strike. Two runs down feels like 8 since a virgin on prom night has more success at scoring than LSU has with RISP.

They did and will again. We have 13 wins with a fairly large group of freshmen and ir first year players playing.
10 more to go. A top 8 seed is well within the grasp.
In Baseball consistency is difficult, hitting: right now we’re not getting solid contact, pitching: too many walks and HBP (mostly by first year players or injury recovery). The averages will fix the batting, and the walks are going to smooth out as well.
