I hope he doesn’t. No idea who you’d go get though.

He’s been a huge letdown.

It’s a little concerning A&M was fine with him leaving and feels our production hasn’t matched what we look like on paper.

I’m still a big Jay fan, and I don’t think he’s going to keep yeskie around if he doesn’t think he’s the guy. So we’ll see.

LSU is 2nd in the SEC in ERA. Texas A&M is 12th.

What are you basing this nonsense off of? It’s clearly not production. The staff ERA is great. Who had more punch outs than LSU last year? You people going off of feelings and emotions. How in the world do y’all make it through the day??

Okay I’ll play.

The ERA is inflated because Anderson, Eyanson, Evan’s and Cowan have 49% of your innings pitched.

In the other 184 eligible innings pitched.

156 hits allowed
206 strikeouts
122 walks
37 hit batters

Only one guy with an ERA under 4 (Schmidt 3.95), which is inflated by midweek stuff because he’s been bad in conference play.

Not good.

In conference play, the staff minus the 4 aforementioned pitchers have the following stats:

50 IP
56 hits allowed
47 walks
14 hit batsmen
43 runs allowed (41 earned)

When in the F are you people going to realize that IT DOES NOT MATTER who the P Coach is? Go back and look at numbers every year and everywhere has been. The numbers are the same! Johnson DNGAF about pitching. Plan A-Z is score a bunch of runs and hope for the best!

You’re right. Now that you mentioned it, I can totally see your point. Every single starting pitcher on this staff should be prime Randy Johnson, Greg Maddox, Jacob deGrom, and etc. You’re literally nitpicking stats at this point, when there’s never been a staff in college or MLB that would have the numbers you expect.

Good thing we have those 4 other pitchers, right?

Without doing the research, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that similar can be said for every pitching staff in the country.

It’s as if they only have three starters for each weekend series…

They don't have three starters. Shores is a head case right now.

Is that why he took Skenes, Guidry, and Evans who all came here as two way players and had them focus solely on pitching?

what% of pitches do you think most teams 4 best pitchers throw?

If your 3 starters go 5 inning a game that’s 3 guys giving you OVER 50%

In Conference:

Texas- Spencer 31.1, Harrison 27.2, 30.1, Grubbs 21. that’s 109. Assuming they’ve pitched 9 inning over 18 games (probably less) that’s 110.1/162
