Former LSU WBB Player Danielle Ballard: Author and Possible WNBA Draft Pick

This morning there was an excerpt discussing WNBA draft prospects and I saw the name Danielle Ballard, who was the 2-time All SEC guard for our women's basketball team. I specifically remember her playing vital role in both Sweet 16 runs under Caldwell-Fargas. She did not return for her senior season after finding herself in many instances of trouble. I definitely thought her career was over.
Doing a little research, I found that she was over in Finland playing professional ball and has, in fact, entered the WNBA draft. She has also written a book titled: "It's Not What It Seems".
Definitely surprised and glad to see her still pursuing her dream. I wish that she would have stayed out of trouble, but things happen for a reason. Wish her the best of luck and once a tiger, always a tiger.
Good Luck Danielle!

It's easy to forget such an achievement when the program made it to five consecutive Final Fours less than a decade prior.
