He's our only option. Collins isn't ready and Swann is trash. Burrow and Daniels also had the benefit of a supporting cast.

The talent isn’t an excuse but even if you want to make it about that, he is still leaving positive plays on the field solely due to his own doings

I agree with the premise of your thread but disagree with this part of it.
This game was Garrett Nussmeir every game. By that I mean on the whole it was….not good….there was a little something for the nuss bus to hang on to.
The first half was fine and he made some good throws. When the field got compressed he and the offense struggled but the Bus can chalk it up to “no run game! Bad play calling!” And it not be 100% wrong
Then the block the second half from their memory, blame Brian Kelly and move on.
They watch the same game but only focus on the first half. Nuss gives enough to give the believers hope. It’s the worst kind of cruel.

They were dropping perfect balls left and right last night.
I’m not saying he doesn’t have weapons. I’m saying, schematically, he is our entire offense. He’s like the qb in a Mike Leach offense (before Leach discovered running the ball).
We put it all on his shoulders with zero play calling creativity or ability to run.
