Not many coaches can recover from a 42-13 beat down in your own house with everything on the line. This is the kind of shite you’d expect in year one not year three. I’m afraid we’re going to let Kelly’s tenure here drag out and the program will be gutted by the end of it all. Even though we have a good recruiting class coming in I think Kelly will underperform. This is the most pessimistic I’ve felt about our program in years.

It’s already rather ugly. Started in second half of A&M.

Team hasn’t been good all year.

This is very dramatic. We’ve lost to Troy before only to win a national championship the next year. The short sighted minds on here are incredible.

I'm not sure how Kelly will rally the troops after what I watched last night. He may be on the verge of losing the team now that there is nothing left to play for. Don't tell me we still have a chance for an SEC title, because we all know that's not happening. After a brief spark against Arky, the defense is struggling again and Nuss has regressed terribly. The play calling is bad and the OL play is trash. We're not good at any facet of the game right now. Next year we will be breaking in a whole new OL and potentially a new QB. That means that our next real shot at the playoffs will be in 2026. If we don't make some noise then, Kelly needs to be sent packing.

In 2002 in year three of the head coach's tenure at LSU the Tigers lost five games:

Alabama 31-0
Auburn 31-7
Virina Tech 26-8
Texas 35-20
Arkansas 21-20

This team lost to USC.

The problems were foreshadowed in September.

USC is absolutely terrible.

We have Joe Brady, Joe Burrow, and the future top 2 receivers in the NFL coming back? Sweet

No one knew who Joe Brady was in 2018 and Burrow was very pedestrian that year.

It’s a shame that the defense has improved—I really think it has since last year—but the offense has regressed so much it doesn’t matter. Daniels masked so much last year.

You forgot one huge, major point. We lost Matt Mauck, for the season, when we were 5-1 and beating Florida 36-3. Mauck doesn’t break his leg and 2002 is a whole different story.

What receivers do we have coming back that are potential NFL hall of famers?

Correct. Everyone understood that. The VT loss was bad but the team was playing well until Mauck’s injury. Plus 2001 garnered a lot of good will and optimism.

I felt most disappointed at the end of the Miles tenure and then when O was announced as HC.
