I enjoy college baseball probably more than any other sport.

In a bad season look for the small victories, such as young players developing for the future. Stop being so negative b/c you never know when the last season will be for you to enjoy.

Imagine how weird it would be if a page called “the rant” was filled with level headed positivity in the midst of a generationally bad season.
Yet, that’s what the armchair positivity warriors visualize, from their high horses.
Hilarious.

Absolutely right. Championship hangovers are real, just look at Florida who is not lacking for talent either. This team has talented players however our pitching took way too long to come around for whatever reason.
The lack of timely hitting is probably the most surprising thing with this team. I expected the law of averages in baseball to even things out as the season went on but it really hasn’t. I’m still pulling for some upsets here to finish out the season.

Skip Bertman spoiled a certain segment of the fanbase. They expect a championship team every year. It's very difficult to put that team together on a year-to-year basis. Last year's team had the combination of extreme talent and seasoned veterans, like the 2019 football team.
If you can't enjoy Tiger baseball unless they win every game by 10-run rule, then you're not a real fan.

The championships are awesome, but the ups and downs of a baseball season are great entertainment.
No one is expecting a championship every year. Making it to Omaha and winning championships takes a certain degree of luck. But there will and ALWAYS should be an expectation to make a regional or Super damn near every year.
The reason our program is so dominant is because our fans care. Our fans show up to the games, we make the trips to Omaha, we show the most support and we have expectations. Sometimes we get a little carried away. Im not saying you should lose sleep over baseball but its okay to be upset and critical when there is a subpar product on the field.
This isn't high school and this isn't travel ball. You don't have to attack them, but you also don't have to pat them on the back and sing "kum ba yah" to them. This season is not even close to LSU's standard and is unacceptable. Thats just a fact. Jay would probably tell you the same thing.

safe to say the offseason is here for the rant and it will be a slow crawl to the USC LSU opener in Vegas which will be exciting

I think people forget how hard it is to sweep in the SEC.
I don't expect this team to sweep anyone this year. It's just unrealistic. However, with that being said I will say this again in this thread...there is never an excuse for an LSU baseball team to fail to make the SEC tournament and a regional, somewhere, but that is very likely to happen this year. Not throwing shade at anyone. I think it gets spread around to a lot of different places this year.
