usually you will always learn something in a baseball game, especially games that aren't the norm for how your team should preform given the competition. this game is definitely in that category,so what did we learn?

1.Jones won't play anywhere but first base on the weekends.
2. benge as a reliever isn't good even when his pitches have good movement on them . his stuff tonight was the best it's been if you go back and watch and it still didn't matter because he's not able to throw strikes when he has to.
3. primeaux can't be our go to lefty. we may just have to understand that we can't do the matchup thing with primeaux anymore because he's always going to walk a guy and hit a guy.
4 . rizy is dependent on that sinking fastball to get swing and miss with two strikes,if he doesn't have it working je just gets fouled off until he walks someone. he's great when that pitch is on. he may be able to get swing and miss with his off speed but the sinking fastball needs to be working in the bp or go to someone else.
5. Brown has to play everyday ,at least until he cools off completely and i still think you have to play him then.
6 cade arrambide isn't ready ,even with h getting better on defense, he's just completely lost at the plate now.

if you got any to add feel free

All good points. Im just not positive jay will give up on primeaux. We dont have many other legit left handed options in the pen. And he keeps trotting him out there, despite the consistent performances
