He about creamed his pants when Dillingham made his shot to take the lead and he was radio silent for about a whole minute after Ward's. Probably had to wipe away his premature ejac with his tears before he could say anything.

He actually squealed.

It was one of the weirdest noises I've heard in a sports broadcast.

They spent the entire game basically talking about anything other than LSU basketball.

At one point even Jay Williams asked the other guy if they could talk about the game. I forget what he was rattling on about.

They spent about 4 straight minutes in a 4 point game at the time talking about Caitlyn Clark and her "greatness"

I have no issue with his call as Dill hit a big shot to take the lead in closing secs and then the silence on the put back winner. It’s called letting moment breathe and not stepping on the PBP guy. There was a lot happening to verify the shot got off in time also.

Fake outrage. Enjoy the moment and stop trying to find someone to be upset with. He was complementing LSU play all night.

They debated Clark vs Reese for like 10+ minutes of air time while a great game was unfolding in front of them. I don't normally talk about broadcasters much, but that was the weirdest I've seen in a while. I would expect that kind of quality from broadcasters lower on the totem pole, like on SECN+ or ESPNU or something, but that was unacceptable for being on ESPN's main channel.

i Tuned in late and after a couple of minutes I had to double check to see if it was actually an LSU home game because it felt like it was a Kentucky home game the way he was carrying on about the Kentucky players team and coach.

Could you even make out what he said in a high pitched voice?

How are you so consumed with a basketball announcer that you’re still thinking about this 12+ hours after the game? WOW

Every ESPN basketball personality (except honorary baw SVP) fricking hates LSU for some reason. Pretty weird

I choked on my drink I was sipping when that a-hole said "He is Him" after making a shot.

ESPN sucks so damn hard. I need to mute my TV for hoops now too.

He was probably worried about the mob of fans jumping around in front of him. I honestly thought the officials might put time back on the clock, but the court storming did away with that thought.

I noted both of these points also. It was shameless. They kept talking about what Kentucky needed to do to win, Reeves should be SEC POY, Dillingham blah, blah, blah. If you were just listening to them you would not have known they were playing LSU.

Yep. I was so wired up when I got home decided to rewatch the 2nd half . They wouldn't shut up about Caitlin Clark and Angel Reece. Was incredibly annoying and in the middle of comeback by LSU.

Hopefully with his mouth duct taped. His and Pasch's running insipid commentary about unrelated shite was so fricking unprofessional especially since this was one of the best games of the year in the league and was reminiscent of the LSU / Kentucky classics in the 1980's.
