Rizzy and Shores need to nut up so Evans can be the certified Sunday starter

I think he will be used out of the pen if necessary, but they’ll try to get him to Sunday if they can.

Evans isn’t moving to Saturday anytime soon.

Leave it how it is. He and/Cowan will likely have to start a game in the postseason. Both have proven capable of either role

I like what I saw from Williams last night. Know he gave up the HR but should’ve been out of the inning

I agree Shores or Schmidt needs to take that Sunday role for this team to reach its full potential for a deep run. Evans and Cowan are just elite coming out of the Pen.

ETA: this is me being an idealist and trying to solve a problem that doesn't necessarily exist. Thinking more of perfect scenario, what can be done.

Then Shores/Schmidt/Ware HAVE to step up. I believe one of them can and will. They all have the talent to do so.

Or Mayers or Noot or Williams or Rizy, or a combination of those guys, have to be just a little bit better.

If you can go:

Anderson/Evans on Friday
Eyanson/Noot/Williams/Rizy on Saturday
Ware/Shores/Schmidt/Mayers/Cowan on Sunday

You don't lose a series the rest of the year, and you probably sweep 2/3.

I think they're so close. I think most of these guys are in a better place than Thatcher Hurd was going into the 2023 post season, and look how he performed.

I like the idea of having Cowan available on Sundays. Having one of him/Evans availible on days where you don't throw Anderson/Eyanson is a must imo.

Louis Coleman redux - close Game 2 for a series win or start Game 3.

Once we hit Omaha he is the guy you want to keep you at 2-0.

Comes in with guys on 2nd & 3rd. Gets a strike out and grounder to first that should’ve ended the inning.

Not saying he was awesome but for a freshman in that spot, thought he did alright.

I think we overreact positively to someone that gets a couple outs because they hit balls right at people. I need to see more than that.

And you don't get to erase the homerun. It was still hit.

I hear that. Maybe expectations are low

But yeah, I liked it more than most of the pen last night

Evans just had the best game 3 performance we've had all year and y'all really think Jays just gonna say, "nah, frick it. Back to the pen with you."

Y'all have lost your mind. Someone else is gonna have to step up out of the bull pen. But, Evans is a starter now.

Agreed. It's really a no brainer at this point. The role has been solidified.
