I would've picked NSU. Those boys came ready to play.

Hopefully this will be a wake up call and be ready to whip UT this wknd and send them back to Rocky Top with their tails tucked.

I would rather it be a state school with a chance for an at-large bid that needed the RPI boost. NWST can win every game the rest of the year, but if they don’t win the conference title game, they’re out.

yeah losing to McNeese or SELA would’ve done a lot less damage. RPI dropped from 6 to 12 last night and ELO dropped from 2 to 7

I’ve never understood the argument that a top 7 team in the country needs a wake up call. If they’re not motivated enough to win every game then maybe they have no business being talked about as a championship contender.

And honestly, if the pitching doesn’t improve significantly soon, then maybe they shouldn’t anyway. It’s the same midweek pitchers doing the same midweek things; hitting batters, walking guys, throwing wild pitches, or just getting hit hard. It makes you wonder one of two things. How did these guys make this team or how does Yeskie still have a job? There’s just been no improvement from this group at all.

It’s not all about the inconsistency in pitching, our big hitters need to start performing when it counts. Dickinson, Jones, Milam, and a few others are coming up in situations where they can do damage and are just not getting it done.

To put it in perspective, it is a midweek game and it doesn’t count as much as a weekend series game. But getting run ruled is embarrassing, and now, you’ve got to take the series against Tennessee just to stay in the national seed discussion.

Ya, I wish NSU had to deal with a rain delay too. Totally unfair.

A bad loss kills you more than any good wins can help. Which I don't understand because of the nature of baseball.

But whatever, there's possibly no worse scenario than last night... our loss couldnt even help an opponent I'd like to see it help.

Its like a primary, secondary and tertiary loss all rolled into one.

They showed up wearing uniforms made of polyester and they smoked you in your own house.

Their HC should have told JJ to hand him the keys to the place.

Would be more acceptable if it was a Div 1 team such as Tulane, Louisiana Tech or UL.

Gonna hurt even more if NSU is forced to forfeit all of their wins up to 2 weeks ago for playing an ineligible player

25 wins down to 4
