The funny thing is Tennessee lost their bowl game to UNC in basically the same fashion. They lost 2 games in the same season after thinking they had won them after the final buzzer.

I remember leaving and people yelling frick Les miles or frick you miles.

My first and only LSU game in Tiger Stadium. I didn’t want to bring the bad juju back!

I vaguely remember being pissed at Les listening to the press conference on the ride home.
Something like “I call BS on the players,” does that ring a bell?

I was working offshore on a Shell rig while watching the game. At the “end” of the game, I threw my chair across the room and stormed out of the trailer. I went down to my quarters, turned on the tv and found out we won the game. I have never been so pissed off and happy at the same time.

I was there with my grandparents and girlfriend. We were sitting on the 40, west-sideline, and I remember getting pummeled with cups, ice and trash raining down from the upper deck.
Two years later, I dumped her.

Les Miles is the only coach I've ever seen who could routinely make a true fan feel bad after an LSU victory - "ugly win" almost every time.

That whole season took years off my life.
UNC
Tennessee
Florida
Ole Miss
Bama
…and the losses to Auburn and Arky were pretty tight also.

What’s sad is after the game he had this smirk and attitude as if he was so cunning and masterful with how that game ended. He was such a freaking moron.

Top 5 Disappointing Les Miles Wins:
1. 2010 vs. Tennessee [16-10]: #12 LSU got lucky as a heavy favorite against 2-3 Tennessee in a game in which LSU scored on the first play from scrimmage.
2. 2006 vs. Ole Miss [23-20]: #9 LSU sleepwalks to win in OT against Ed Orgeron's horrible 3-8 squad. Colt David missed an extra point with 14 seconds remaining that should have won the game in regulation.
3. 2010 vs. North Carolina [30-24]: Missing 9 defensive starters and 13 total starters, and despite losing by 20 at the half, UNC comes yards away from victory on the goal line against LSU.
4. 2013 vs. Arkansas [31-27]: #17 LSU needs miracle 99-yard drive led by Anthony Jennings to beat 3-8 Arkansas.
5. 2011 @ Alabama [9-6]: Convinces Les Miles that LSU was better than Alabama and that LSU did not need to make any adjustments to beat Alabama again three months later.

Embarrassing tale of two halves against a severely depleted Tarheel roster.

When did Mett get hurt in this game? And remember how excited we were for Jennings after that?

Thinking you could best Saban two games in a row with the option is on another level of dumb.

Don’t feel bad. I turned that damn game off and missed the winning touchdown pass

I was at the game with my family in the south endzone. On the last drive, we had a delay of game penalty, followed by a wasted timeout. I was so frustrated, I told my family to start walking down the steps (we were 30 rows up) and we'll stop at the portal and watch the end of the drive. Then the keystone cops break out on the last play. We watch the ball getting snapped over Jefferson's head and we turned and started walking out.
If you ever sat in the upper section of the south endzone, you know you have to walk down several ramps. Then we hear this roar of the crowd and I put my headphones on to hear Doug Moreau say "neither team can be happy about what just happened". I couldn't see the field at this point. I literally thought maybe there was a brawl on the field. We reached the point on the ramp in the southeast endzone (where the visitors come out), to see the offense lining up at the 1 yard line and watched them score the winning TD.
We left the stadium and I had no idea why we got another play until I reached our car. And I still wanted that bastard fired on the spot.

I was in the stands...first time I took my kids to an LSU game. My son's in tears...I'm cursing Les Miles...and told my wife that we need to fire his arse now! It was the umpteenth time that sorry SOB bungled the clock. Glad we got the DUB...but still wanted Miles' head on a stick after that sloppy arse shite.

Least satisfying "win" I've ever experienced.
The Florida game was the next week and that was almost just as wild

I was deployed and had to watch it on tape delay on Armed Forces Network so I avoided any news about football until the re-broadcast. Other guys (that already knew what happened) came in near the end waiting to watch my reaction and when the clock hit zero I turned the TV off and told them to F off for coming in just to watch me react to that debacle.
Then they told me to turn the tv back on…
What a shitty victory.

I think his point was that the disappointment from that stems from the false sense of confidence it gave Les going into the rematch, one of the worst, if not THE worst, losses in LSU football history.
Alabama outplayed LSU in the GotC and wins with a competent kicker. Les goes into the BCSCG thinking he had the blueprint and sends JJ into a massacre.

2010 was one of the most fun football seasons in program history. So many wild games.
That team was good. Les and quarterback play almost made them 7-5 or something, but that team was good.
As for the Tennessee ending, I just remember it not feeling like a very long time between when we thought we had lost and the ref announcing we would get another play. However, when I watched the replay on TV, it felt like an eternity.
