I love posts like this that completely ignore the rest of the lineup completely raking. Its not like curiel was bad as leadoff. Everyone around him is also just mashing tonight

You are asking because you like seeing your own threads on this board.

Absolutely nobody here knows the answer to your question, and if you had any brains you would know that as well.

in general, the lead hitter, to me, should be one of your best hitters and one of your best players. I want to put pressure on the opposing pitcher from the first pitch of the game.
Ideally, it's a person who has great plate discipline and the ability to hit a double. That's kind of how I would want to start the game, either with a walk or a double.

Jay usually confides in me about all this stuff but for some reason, he has not mentioned anything to me.

Curiel is literally the best leadoff hitter in the SEC

You do not move him.

How would anyone on here know if it’s permanent? You need to to ask JJ that question.

Son of DICK and Curiel are both good options. Coach JJ will tinker a little, and we’ll trust his intuitions.

Would have to verify, but hasn't Curiel been lead off all year until tonight? I think a lot of us were surprised by the change.

Maybe CJJ wants to get a R-L alternation from the start?

Maybe.

It’s not a bad idea when a lefty is pitching to have R vs L lead off. Maybe that lets Curiel see a few pitches and helps slow the game down a bit. His 1st AB’s have been less productive as of late.

I would move Stansfield out of 9 hole to 7 hole and put Hernandez 8 and Reeves or Brass 9, whoever Jay gives the nod to.

Yes it is.

I ran into Jay at Walk Ons after the game and asked him that question. He said yes, as of now, he will remain in the leadoff spot.

WTF dude, you think anybody can answer this one with any degree of certainty? Sure, we can all guess, and some will be right, but no one knows.
