If we’re getting outbid in recruiting high-school players we’ll get outbid recruiting portal players? The schools at the top of the recruiting ranks have enough to get both high school and transfer portal guys.

If someone else wants to overpay, that’s on them. LA will always have plenty of talent

Serious question, how does Bama have more money than we do? I understand Texas and Oregon's of the world

I think this means we are competing fairly well considering everyone says our state is poor and we can't compete with Texas and some others because we are poor...unless something is done by the NCAA such as a cap teams like Texas and Oregon will become the NYY and LA Dodgers.

That is very fair to say. We were average in the portal last year and will most likely be the same again this year.

God but that first year under Kelly's transfer portal class was so elite, I cant believe he was like we wont use it as much and had a top 3 worst transfer portal class ever

I think Kelly is a buffoon in general but dealing with NIL is, ironically, above his pay grade

Immediately I thought of Ole Miss in the last class to disprove your theory. Using 247 sports rankings, Ole Miss was 21st in HS recruiting and 1st in transfer portal recruiting. I can't prove who signed for money, etc, but to try to equate success in HS signings vs transfer portal signings is obviously not remotely true. - Signed, Lane Kiffin

That doesn’t matter anymore it started when we lost that 5 star to Texas and he was at a position of need and now if we don’t break the bank for Jahkeem or Harlem they both maybe gone

LA also has plenty of poverty that would appreciate the high end NIL money

The 12-team playoff is their way to keep fans on the hook, but that will only work for so long.

The NCAA is going to have to reassert itself by implementing transfer rules or something and dare the Supreme Court to stop them.

Have you noticed how AL has lapped LA in business development last 40 years? Mercedes, Hyundai, Thyssen Krupp, etc long set up shop there.

The Port of Mobile has taken 40% market share from Louisiana ports with its infrastructure investment and economic grants years ago.

By 2040 LA will be the least populated SEC state with exception of MS.
