It's a midweek game loss before a huge series, it means absolutely nothing.

This loss has absolutely zero effect on our current goals of getting a top 8 seed for post season. Is it disappointing that we lost? Yes of course it is. But does it mean anything in our long term goals? No it doesn't.
We have a huge series coming up this weekend, and winning the series will make 100% of LSU baseball fans forget last night happened.
Bats are cold right now, it happens to the best teams, and we will get through it. The hate for Bear Jones right now and the calling for him to be benched is unreal and laughable. He's our best hitter, damn good 1st baseman, and the ball can leave the yard at anytime when he's in the batter's box. Our pitching outside of Anderson, Eyanson, Cowan, and Evans is shaky and gives me anxiety but I think an arm will emerge come post season play and will give us the boost that we need.
Brown has to be in lineup every game and I would like to see him in RF. Braswell needs to be at 3rd, Hernandez needs to be behind the plate, and Pearson and Frey can play the DH roller coaster.
We WILL BE FINE.

We know in the grand scheme of thing this singular loss doesn't mean anything. It's ok to point out some of the flaws on the team though.
This is your opinion and also subjective on what you consider to be "fine"

Its less about this lone game and moe about the team being flat for 3 weeks straight. Even our wins look ugly and are more difficult than they need to be.
I'd rather slump now than in Jun ethough. Hopefully we come out of it soon.

Well sparky.... you left out the part where this midweek loss goes in the LSU and NSU record books.
This is equivalent to the football loss to UAB.

No it’s not. Baseball teams lose a mid week game to a bad team almost every year. Losing to a UAB type team in football is a much different animal.

Not a doomer take, but it’s fair for fans to not be OK with being run ruled at home by a vastly inferior in-state program.

I don’t care about a midweek loss. I don’t really care too much that we got run ruled.
What’s concerning is the offense has flat out disappeared for games, even entire series at a time. Auburn’s pitching was nothing special yet they held us in check for the whole weekend. Bama’s wasn’t much better either.

The outcome doesn’t weigh as much I’ll give you that.
But what they didn’t do well against an inferior opponent is absolutely, and should be, troubling

I'm not glad we lost but I'm also not worried in the slightest.
Id bet we come out playing with our hair on fire Friday and take the series 2/3 this weekend.

No baseball win or loss is the equivalent to football.

It always suck to lose a game to a team you should beat because you have way more talent but it happens. What will really tell us more about this team is how they respond this weekend, at home, playing a really good team. If they come flat for that, I would be very concerned.

There’s not a single baseball loss in history that equates to a football loss.

It seems as though Bear is swinging for homer or bust at every at bat.

Maybe if we played 60-70 football games a season.
I.e., you’re not very smart.
