I'm sure he'll be good eventually but rewatching the game- I don't understand how he's this bad. It literally cannot be worse with anyone else. He is killing us

If we sit all of the garbage players we won’t be able to field a team at all.

Easier said than done. Putting Coen Echols or someone else in at this point in the season who has not been getting any first team reps all year would be very difficult. Chester needs reps if you believe he’ll be one of your best lineman over the next few years.

He’s one of Kelly’s pets just like Burns. He’ll never sit

His backup is a true freshman. Well technically his backup is probably Dellinger, who is hurt. But then if you move Dellinger to center you’ve probably got a worse problem at guard.

Chester has been a problem but I think you have to live with it until the offseason, then either go all-in on Echols or bring in a transfer (probably both TBH).

I think Chester might wind up being one of our tackles next year if we can get the center position upgraded. And I think he’ll probably have more success on the outside.

Put him in a different position and he should be better. I have no idea how it is different between guard/tackle/center but from what I listen to from former players, it's a massive difference across each position and side. I don't think he came to LSU projected to be a center but that was the best spot available for him supposedly.

You wonder why they can’t run block or screens or anything else for that matter? Ask the Saints about losing a center. That is the most
Important position on the Oline and only second to the QB on offense.

I’ve been posting for several weeks that Chester ain’t worth a shite. Chester allowing the blitzer to come right up the middle to sack Nuss just confirms this. Sit his arse down. A young freshman can’t be any worse. And when Kirby doesn’t offer a center from Georgia, we should have stayed away.

I said this from the beginning. He definitely isn't a SEC caliber center

He is one of the worst graded centers in the nation right now and is simply too tall to play the position. Switch him to guard and see.
