-Mikie opens with a belated happy birthday.
-First midweek loss in 2 years.
-Mikie says playing bad and losing is a good thing. “Dont waste a failure.”
-Jay admits not much positive from last night’s game. Nothing productive he could do or say last night.
-Jay’s choices have to positively impact the players. Today was a good day. Looking forward to this weekend.
-Tues night game has nothing to do with the weekend. Lesson to be learned is compartmentalizing failure. Not dragging it to the next opportunity. We have players that need to be better at that per Jay.
-Last night didn’t show we are ready for a big weekend series. Hope is the best competition brings out the best in our team.
-Tennessee has explosive talent. Doyle is 98 from the left side and highly competitive. Improved from what we saw last year at Ole Miss. They do what they do very well on the mound.
-On offense they have big power, older players. Keeping the ball in the park and limiting free bases will be key. When we play our best, we do those things well.
-Our pitching strategy is game by game. “All hands on deck” every game. Jay is comfortable coaching that way. He wants to give our team the best chance to win every game.
-His job is to take failure and turn it into a positive.
-Jay validates the program on how we play. Not wins and losses. We did not play well last night and he was a part of that.

I enjoy their show and they’ll throw him a bunch of softballs I’m sure but I’ll give Jay credit here for showing up and owning it. Would’ve been real easy to ghost this one

Trying to listen, the audio is just so bad as usual.
Lloyd, pull the mic closer to your mouth. I know you will read this this

Lloyd basically said Tigerdroppings was ridiculous last night.
I mean isn't that the case every night. Also, it was said that Jay's getting a lot of comparisons to Coach O. If he meant on T/D I haven't seen a lot of that on here but sure it happens.

I like Lloyd most of the time, jokes a little too much.

I swear he says this every time LSU loses. Even better that Jay followed it with

Our fans are only capable of comparing current coaches to Les Miles, Ed orgeron, or Paul Maineri. That's it.

There’s been many threads that have been started saying this. Not that they aren’t dumb or anything because they obviously are lol.

It's been said multiple times around here and it's absurd.
Jay took Arizona to the CWS 2 times in 4 seasons. (Covid cancelled one)
He also nearly won the Natty at Arizona in addition to winning the Natty at LSU. Nothing like O. Jay would very much be wanted if available. O was not.
