Gives his ALL always. Hits hard always. Plays when not 100%.
Playing in the bowl game.

Remember when Travis Daniels burned his redshirt in the 01 SECCG against Tennessee and his famous quote “I play for the name on the side of my helmet, not on the back of my jersey”… that’s kinda the mindset Jay Ward has and it’s a program mentality.

He is all LSU. Plays the game with heart.

Throws his body around like a missile.
Whoever gets him in the League did well...

He is a true tiger, through and through. Not a high ranked kid out of hs, moved around to both find better fits for him, but mainly to fill gaps we had in secondary. Really came on at safety last 4-5, games last year, flying around full speed. This year he's been a utility belt and lined up all over. Really impressed with him, love that he's playing that last game, and I think the nfl is going to really like his versatility. Kudos to that kid

Reminds me of Jalen Mills. Always gave everything.

Have always been impressed by his open field tackling. It seems like every time he’s around the ball he gets em to the ground

Jay struggled bad at times the last 2 Orgeron years. He has had a good season this year! As you mentioned, he’s a great Tiger!

Good player, will be drafted higher than people think. Versatile, fast, aggressive, around the ball.

Always remember.
During the birth of my first child? Jay Ward.
A cool fall morning as I look at the sunrise? Ah, Jay Ward.
On my death bed? “What’s that?” my grandson tearily says as he leans close to hear my final words to my family?
“Jay Ward…” I whisper.
