It used to be defense wins championships. Thats not necessarily the case anymore but you do need at least a good defense.

agreed to a certain point
we don't even need a "good" defense, just an average defense would be sufficient with this team, same goes for 2019 team.
Now in 2019, we had a "pretty good defense", which coupled with that offense, made some ridiculous blowouts (and keep in mind we had our starters out of the game in the 3rd quarter of like 6 or 7 games)

Joe is still better. J Daniels is awesome though and I love this kid’s attitude Daniels is very close to burrow………..But Joe threw 60tds, regardless of the defense he did actually win the national title on the greatest team in NCAA history, did win the heisman, and was the #1 overall pick in the draft. Again, I do love Daniels play and I do think he deserves the Heisman.
