When Sloan spoke yesterday about the Quarterbacks, he commented how well they were all doing in practice. Nothing said about Colin Hurley, but he would be so far behind at this point, even if he came back from injury/illness? Doubtful he ever suits up in a LSU uniform.

If Nuss goes down, we're totally fricked. That's all we need to know about QB's.

Probably so but in 2018 we had Joe Burrow and an injured Myles Brennan for backup. A worse situation for sure but I guess it is all relative.

That’s almost all of football at any stage in today’s game that’s so quarterback driven.

At least we have a SEC caliber back up with actual SEC experience right now.

Didnt our new backup start games for Moo St? Our QB situation is likely better than most teams in the SEC.

Reports are that MVB has struggled some in camp, but I think with the number of skill players we have, he'll do fine if he has to come in for Nuss.

No, State's QB is big and athletic. He started the final 8 SEC games last year. And he threw for over 300 yards and 3 TDs against UGA and was SEC freshman of the week.

I mean we had AJ Swann (& Rickie Collins) last year. We’re in a better position with options this year, but yeah nobody is going to step in & pick up where Nuss left off

LSU has an SEC starter as a backup. Not saying he’s as good as Nuss but not many schools have that.

For most teams, there is a huge drop off if QB1 goes down. I don’t think MVB is a scrub though. He struggled at times last year but he had a defense that gave up 34ppg and was 125th in total defense. He was constantly trying to overcome a bad team. He would have better pieces here and a much better defense.

Didn't realize that, nice to have in the back pocket.

Idk what people are expecting from a kid that's 2.5 weeks in on learning a different system with new players around him. YES, he's going to struggle until he gets comfortable and have a full understanding of what the staff is expecting from him.

He's proven he can play in this league, he'll be fine in due time. Name another backup QB in this league with more game experience than MVB.

Michael Van Buren is a serious upgrade over AJ Swann as a back up QB.

Nuss has one year under his belt as a starting QB.

Therefore, our QB room is in much better shape than last year.

I seriously doubt that Hurley ever plays another down of competitive football. Sadly, his football career is most likely over before it ever began.

If starting QB gets hurt, we're screwed. Who coulda thunk it?!

Stop conditioning your brain not to function properly. You have a starter on the bench.
