Braswell back to the third and Brown or Fry at first and the other DH
Jones at this point is a liability
Let him sit a game and see if he can get his head straight

You want to bench the guy who leads the team in home runs, is 3rd in batting average and 4th in the SEC in hits?

Do you want to do it vs the #5 ranked team in the country this weekend?

Yeah. Benching a .360 hitter, who leads the team in RBI, and has double digit HRs is always a great idea.

Agreed

Brown should be the every day RF. Canon for an arm and one of the fastest guys on the team. Let’s not plant him on 1B.

Frey really hasn’t done much either so put Jones back at first and DH Brown. Frey will be the one to sit. Braswell needs to play third but could use a DH.

I dont think benching him is the answer. I wouldn't mind moving him down the batter rotation though. He's been an auto-strikeout of late

Jones isn’t being benched genius. He is struggling for sure - but baseball is hard! He will come out of it and get it going again.

Just stick him back at 1st or DH. Experiment failed. Just move on.

Benching jones when facing tennessee would be the biggest mistake of jay johnsons tenure. I doubt he makes that mistake

Doubt? There is a 0% chance of it happening.

DH Brown

Who is in RF, Pearson? No thanks. Pearson can DH if Jay needs to keep forcing him in the lineup. But Brown is faster, has a better arm, and Pearson leads the outfielders in errors.

Great idea coach

Somone said he's hitting .265 in SEC play and I think he has 2 homeruns in sec play. I have no clue what his SEC RISP average is. He's in a slump right now for sure.

So do you want to bench Jared Jones vs Tennessee?

Batter rotation? That’s a new one for me.

The experiment at this point is “is Jones going to get a hit this weekend or not”

D1 Stats

This has .244. He won't be benched during conference play. We just really need him to get going.
